Takes too long to kill with it compared to full auto firehose, also lot more difficult to close distance now that fight are mostly made at range |

Now that people are using cover to fight it's harder to get kills with them. It shows how people used them to counter the status quo. Because so many people were just strafe-brawling like unrealistic idiots in the open, which they could do due to bad hit detection, that meant they were exposed to bombardment from MD.
Now they have to be more strategic about coming out in the open, which means fewer targets for MD. MD now is much more of a support weapon and not a primary. It should be good for helping finishing off players behind cover, but definitely is underpowered at close range compared to before. |

Other weapons got their hit detection fixed, and aim assist is actually working now (while the MD and other weapons don't get aim assist). |

It's very much a support weapon now as going 1v1 with an AR on level ground is a sure way to die.
There may be a handful of folks who can do it, but by an large you need to hold back behind the front line if you are using the MD. |

Pretty sure 9/10 of us massholes said "MD is UP, watch when hit detection gets fixed. Full-autos will dominate again"
Guess all the 1337 AR guys can't complain about our UP "crutch" anymore.. |

My first couple days in 1.4 I really struggled with the shorter TTK. Now that my play style has adjusted, I'm back to doing fairly well.
I've started using the commando suit more though, with a GLU and EX0. Very tough without grenades. I find myself constantly pulling L2 trying to pre-flux my victims. |

Seriously, though-- I'm not sure whether the AR is OP, but gameplay is certainly no longer so much with the run-and-gun. Used to be evasive action would save my scoutly butt. I'm having to adjust my instincts, and suffering a lower K/Dr in the meantime.
A weapon that crushes people who do run-and-gun is no longer unusual. |

Actually no......there is a reason why everyone and there mother had at least a few points into MD. And honestly MDs are still unbalanced its just that all weapons that have been given aim assist are even more unbalanced right now. So 1 of two things need to happen. If aim assist never goes away and we have to now play a game where the system aims for you then MDs need a buff. If the aim assist actually gets corrected to what it should be then MDs will need to be looked at again for a slight change.
Honestly aim assist should never move your crosshair....the only "assist" is a slight decrease in sensitivity when your crosshair is on a target...thus helping you maintain your target without overshooting but also never dragging your crosshair without your involvement.
The hit detection is helping but honestly the bigger issue is the fact that everyone is hitting a much higher percentage of their shots. Plus i noticed something interesting....either they got rid of the jerk your character did when an explosive went off nearby.......or the aim assist is so strong that it doesnt allow your cross hair to leave the target during the explosive "jerk". |

Seriously what weapon takes skill in this game?
Sniper, AR, Scr, HMG, SMG, scr pistol, shotgun, blasters.....are all hit scan weapons
MDs, flaylock, plasma cannon (LOL), and forge guns are all AOE weapons
Melee is glitched so you can do 1500-2000 dmg in less than a second........
At this state based on your criteria what exactly is a pro weapon that takes skill to use? If you say knife then thats not truly pro its situational....I dont care how good you are not even regynum can charge at 2 people in an open field with a knife and expect to kill them. (with current aim assist) |

Aim assist isn't that bad. I played all last night with it on, and didn't do much better than I normally do. I agree hip-fire is a bit nuts, but ADS you still have to be accurate. I still beat down noobs like a bad habit. I don't see what all the fuss is.
I even talked to some kb/m guys who say the new mouse controls are "twitchier." Kb/m and ds3 both got buffs. So what's the issue?

I am guessing you havent noticed the fact that you dont have to bother following the enemy yourself when its on....it will follow them enough for you to kill them. I do about the same as well....but thats because I had to change up my tactics now that almost everyone can actually track my character.....no more running into rooms of 5 guys and dodging around in and out to take them all down since they cant aim. |
