My Dropship YouTube Channel is here with all the videos in handy playlists. Subscribe and get the latest videos as soon as I post them.
It keeps getting asked in the vehicle chats in game so I thought I would tackle the question in a video :
Does system hacking and hacking speed increase suit modules increase the speed at which your vehicle is recalled? Answer in the video with some handy split screen. (set it to 720p for the best picture)

It was worth spending that much SP just the get the question answered with proof collected. To do it in 1.5 I guess I'll need to have a nalt with no SP in system hacking. |

I'm failing to see how Systems Hacking is a "waste of SP". Many of you must not play PC. At level 5 it cuts 2.5 seconds from a hack. That may not sound like much, but 2.5 seconds can mean the difference between hacking the objective or getting a shotgun in the back.
Not only that, but you can now fit complex code breakers on scout fits and be the first to get juicy hack WPs in Doms and Skirms. |

well the thing is I fly dropships.. every match.hacking is just not on my to do list. It is wasted in that sence, just like dropship skills are for an infantry player |

it was painfully obvious that it doesnt effect recall |

I was after recorded data sets not the painfully obvious. Evidence not personal experience is what counts. |

the fact that the hack wasnt 2.5 seconds is a recorded data set
hack not 2.5 seconds, then hacking doesnt effect recall speed.

Thats a reported data set. Not recorded. It's a topic that has come up many times. Each time we hear what people say happens in game. Many of these reports contradict one another. Reported data is not reliable. This does not mean it is wrong, only that it cannot be verified.
Also binary is not yes or no. Its 1 or 0. 1 does not equate to yes and 0 to no. They are opposite states. |

a binary may not be yes or no
but yes and no are binary

I do not dispute your knowledge on the topic. Only the presentation of your data. You are correct; Systems hacking does not effect recall. But Another poster could simply post that it does. At that point it is recorded data we need. Which I have provided. My evidence is easy to falsify and I challenge anyone to do so. Until then I stand by my testing and analysis.
I think we have a dissonance on the term "record" It does not mean video, it means a verifiable collection of data, in any format. |

the alturnative method to provided video proof is to provide a repeatable experament.
this would also provide the same measure of validity that video evidence provides it just takes a little initiative to veryify.
my experament above would prove that
both hacking modules themselves as well as the passive hacking do not provide a boost to recall speed, at the cost of about 18k SP to repeat the experament.
alturnativly you can just use militia hack mods in verying amounts but that leaves the question about the skill itself untouched.
and while we know that the skills act exactly like their module counterparts from various experaments revolving around them, its still helpful to provide a proof that illistrates it. |

I think we are getting hung up on the term record. I use record to mean a verifiable method of data collection that can be analysed by others. I do not mean video recording.
I used max skills and max modules on a single character to reduce the number of variables. Same character in every way. The only difference was SH and Modules. By going max I eliminate anyone saying that the difference is there only it's small. I had the best of the best and it made zero difference. This leave no wiggle room. No discussion. It has no effect in the best conditions. |
