Don't you think in conjuntion with the drones we should have a zombie mode?
Here is how it works: Say an eve player wants to loot an abandoned district, ship, or space station. But finds there is somthing inside, A virus has infected some clones and now reigns over the district. The eve player can hire a total of 4 mercs to clean out the district and take control of it. There will be random tasks such as: Extermination, Restore, and Recover.
Extermination: The mercs need to clean out the district for the eve player's drones to explore and salvage.
(The eve player needs to have salvage drones in order to do this mission.)
Restore: If the eve player has a good chance of capturing the district, they can send the mercs to restore life support and power.
(The virus infecting the clones can't stand oxygen, so after completing the mission, the virus will dispurse.)
Recover: If drones can't get in due to massive infestation, the mercs can retrive it on their own.
(This is a random mission, it won't appear until the drones fail to salvage anything after a extermination mission.)
This can fit well within the mythos because of the rouge clones. It also would be a really fun addition to the game, dust players can do this freely too since npc corps can make contracts for it. |

Closest things to zombies new eden has are the Sansha nation. The unwilling have their brains scooped out and replaced with cybernetic bits. Jokingly its believed sansha people eat these brains. |

Sansha Soldiers are likely going to be just as tough as a duster by any chance if they resort to non merc means. Sansha nation is considerably the 4th most known advanced race in new eden and was the 5th empire post-jovian 3rd era before the other four nations in a rare joint effort smashed the entire empire to bits.

Fighting Sansha True Slaves would be fun. They would probably operate in a very reckless way and zergrush the players in waves. It would just be mode that you have to survive long enough while holding off slaves for a settlement to evacuate. |
