*Battlefield 3 has a subtle aim assist that only kicks in when you ADS, there is no hipfire aim assist. *Black ops 2 has both a hipfire and ADS aim assist very similar to Dust 514s except it is weaker. *Dust 514s is a stronger version of both of these combined but the big difference between these games and Dust is that they are twitch shooters and Dust is a strafing and tracking shooter. |

You forgot that CoD and Battlefield don't have mouse support... that is a very important factor that you should take into account. Also in Dust 514, Tactics, equipment and Skills tree progression, is more important than just Raw Aiming. |

If these games did have mouse support do you think AA for the gamepad would be off, weaker, the same, or stronger? |

I guess it will depend on how much the community will QQ ... the harder the QQing.. the stronger the aim-assist will be. After all, that is exactly what have happen in Dust 514. |

Well... you see... some people thought that they sucked at the game because mouse users where killing them. So they QQed none stop to they forced CCP's hand, which is why the mouse support in Uprising was "Offensive", and why we have an aim-assist that is just one steep short of an aimbot. The annoying thing is, that the same people that complained about the mouse, are also complaining about the aim-assist too. |

I agree with this. Dust just needs to make it so that it doesn't track a player when they move, and only when you're doing something. Right now Dust aim assist is automatically tracking players for you, so there is clearly something wrong with the system. |

There is a reason why many console games don't have mouse support. cause if you wanted to use the KB/M, you would just play that fps on your RIG rather than on a console.
So two options,
1) have CONSOLE gamers switch to KB/M to compete with KB/M players. (I play both. but no way in hell I'm using a KB/M on a CONSOLE. Too nerdy for me)
2) AA Helps all players. Wolf said something before that does ring true. Any thing that is added in a game to benefit the noobs WILL ALSO BENEFIT THE VETS.
3) I was already going positive in a lot of my matches, before 1.4. Now? LOL

Well BO2 and BF3 have a degree of "auto aim" but in BO2 you have to be moving, and BF3 only when you first ADS. Dust 514 seems to do it a little to strong, but it seems that aim assist is necessary regardless. |

That is exactly why i have no problem with it... i still own noobs with my mouse, aim-assist or not. If you don't react in .250 of a second and shoot me accurately... not aimbot in this world is going to stop me from killing you. |

People always make it sound like as if this game needed as much speed and precision as Quake or UT when it comes to aiming and that mouse aiming in DUST exactly is like mouse aiming in any PC game... it is not.
As a PC gamer when you start playing DUST with a m/kb you feel like an absolute noob because you can not hit anything because mouse aiming is so sluggish and over compensating at times. |

In other hand this game is tactic base, you trust to your squad etc. Running, shooting and dying? Youre bad player. |

Stronger, defiantly stronger! It's more difficult to aim using a DS3 in compare with a KB/M. Using a KB/M you are faster and more precise. This is because the mouse have to move a longer way on the desk for a shorter way on the screen. That is the may reason, the second reason is that you can adjust your own speed for example you are moving the mouse very fast over the table to over some a distance and after that you are moving a lot slower to place the cursor on the head.
You know that you don't have all this on a DS3. |

Because the PS3 comes with a DS3 and everyone who does not use the DS3 is a dirty cheater!
... sounds absolutely reasonable to me ...
The reason why most console shooters do not support M/KB is that the devs do not want to invest time in input methods only a fraction of their playerbase will use. CCP on the other hand has a huge PC based playerbase who use M/KB exclusively so it is worth for them including it because in doing so they can increase their playerbase.
Though, I'm fine if DS3 get aim-assist. But when aim-assist becomes so good that people who actually put effort into improving their aiming skills (DS3, M/KB, and PSMove users alike) are on the same level or even at a disadvantage in comparison to people who do not care about improving their skills and just want some instant gratification then something clearly is wrong.
And I'm sure we will see some adjustments to aim-assist in an update very soon. |

Your arguments are way to deviously. Devs don't do it because they are lazy? Sticks on fighting games? No wheels in racing games? What the hell are you trying here? You are comparing some completely different genres!
PS: At the tournaments they using arcade sticks for fighting games and wheels for racing games as well.

Different games. and tho my diet is mostly FPS, I have played more than a few fighting games and driving games. (burn out paradise and need for speed being my favorites as I don't like sims like GT) And YOU TELL ME WHAT ADVANTAGE YOU GET FROM USING STICKS AND WHEELS TO DS3 controller?
Ps move on other hand... Ask KZ players about that. lol
*Many of em, hate move users*
No one asked you. wanted to see if he knew what KZ players think of move.
Now I've played FPS longer on my RIGS than on consoles, so your going to tell me KB/M users don't have an advantage? I don't use it on consoles cause that's just me keeping things separate. (too nerdy for ME to use KB/M for console) But don't **** in my cup and call it corona. A lot of the issues that dust ran into was cause they INCLUDED KB/M.
But dust is "inventing the wheel and doing new things".. yet they haven't figured out how to stand up yet.

I've used KB/M, and I've fought against said people, and I don't see the problem. I kill them easy. I think people who use that argument just is trying to find a scapegoat so they can keep the aimbot. |

I think people are over exaggerating, refer to this example.
-áif im am fast and on my toes, I can still cook and throw a flux, followed by 2 md rounds, I can still beat aim assisted players!!
Now before you say im a brick tanked logi, I am infact a rep tanked assault!! Min adv assault, 2 sheild extenders, 1energiser, 1 plate, 1 rep!! My suits has 460 ehp total, about 243 sheilds and 217 armour (I think), mathematically speaking a miltia ar requires 1.2 seconds to kill me, more or less, yet for me to do the above, assuming I am aware of his presence when he pulls the trigger, takes 4.5 secs, more than it takes to empty an entire ar mag of 48 rounds at nearly 1400 damage!!
Tell me if you cant miss how is the mathematically possible??

The reason why many console games dont have mouse support, is because if players tried and played an FPS with KB/M, they would play that FPS on their RIG rather than on a console. There would be no more console-style FPS, pure and simple. |

Not sure which Tournaments you took part in but I personally did it for $$$ , so why not state that there is NO ADVANTAGE WHATSOEVER in using a Mouse over a DS3 - When we all know one is DIGITAL and the Other in ANALOG...
This is the VERY reason CCP have an EXTREMLY Hard time in tring to balance these Input devices since they can NOT BE PERFECTLY BALANCED - THE FACT IS THEY CAN NOT BE BALANCED. |
