The majority of the players who are in competitive PC corps and participating in the tournament generally see aim assist as a bad thing that only serves to make the incapable capable. As such, is there any possible way to tune the parameters such that aim assist is not active in matches that actually count for something?
Let the publets have their crutch in pubs, but disallow aim assist in PC matches. If you've reached the level where stakes are on the table, you shouldn't have to depend on the game to automate one of the most fundamental aspect of an FPS: aiming. |

I don't foresee CCP doing this anytime soon. They've worked so hard to bring their aim assist system back, and the lack of comments from the DEVs regarding it seems to show they're just going to try and wait until the uproar dies down before continuing on.
At most I think CCP would only slightly dial back the assist. It's not an aimbot in the true sense of the word, but the whole "magnetism" and "adhesion" functions they've added to it is certainly bordering on being an aimbot of a milder variety. |

You really think I would be asking about this subject if I didn't participate? You really think someone who participates in PC needs some scrub mechanic like aim assist? Only people who can't aim defend aim assist, because they see it as a necessary element to make them competitive. Go on though, keep defending it.
