Or you know, fix aim assist so its more like an aim assist and less like an aimbot. |

They've worked so hard to bring their aim assist system back, and the lack of comments from the DEVs regarding it seems to show they're just going to try and wait until the uproar dies down before continuing on. At most I think CCP would only slightly dial back the assist. It's not an aimbot in the true sense of the word, but the whole "magnetism" and "adhesion" functions they've added to it is certainly bordering on being an aimbot of a milder variety.
So you want them to comment on the 20+ threads that pop up everyday? I believe CCP already reduced their aimbot a bit compared to day 1 1.4. While it may be to a lesser degree now, if the person I'm aiming at is slow enough, I dont even need to correct my aim as it'll automatically aim for me. The past few days of me playing involved me pointing at someone, pulling the trigger, and taking my thumb off the right analog stick. It makes me sick playing like that that I lowered my average amount of played games to a few a day.
I guess you havent seen any aimbots outside of the cheap free aimbots you can get off backwater sites. You'd be surprised how advanced modern aimbots are that mimicks a pro player without looking like the blatantly obvious 180 headshot snap. |

m twiggz wrote:Wow your aim assist sticks on players without you using your analog stick? Teach me how! Because my aim assist does not do that, nor does any of my friends aim assist. You guys must have gameshark.
Okay. First of all, stop aiming. I know you love to aim your crosshair but you're only pissing off the aimbot because you're screwing with it's head when it tries to do your work for you. Second of all, believe in your aimbot, learn to understand how he feels and what he's capable of. He's capable of moderate no-hands tracking. If the person is 20-30 meters away, he wont move across your screen faster than a cheetah on a jet airplane so your aimbot can handle that. If the person is 1 feet away then your aimbot will probably scream HALP HALP and you'll have to halp him.
Third and most importantly, you need to pray to your CCP gods, praising them, and adamantly defend their decision to give life to that piece of **** aimbot companion or less they take away your dearest friend. |

Pretty sure thats a different issue altogether. I have noticed increased server latency and heavily delayed hitreg/deaths. |

The Robot Devil wrote:That's a lie and you know it. I am a horrible shot and the aim assist doesn't work like that. If you take your thumbs off the stick the camera stops moving and unless the person you are aiming at stops also then you will miss. You shouldn't lie about a video game because you think something is wrong or borked. You make me ashamed to be a gamer with statements like that.
Considering theres already videos that show 1:1 tracking with the new 'aimbot', would you like to make a video where your aim doesnt track your target? And by tracking I mean the crosshair stays on target whereas the previous aim assist trails behind the target and slowly loses it's magnetism requiring player adjustment. As I said in a post below the one you quoted, if the person isnt dashing across your screen, your aimbot does fairly well to keep your crosshair on your opponent without player input.
As for hurting that "gamer" inside you, I've been playing shooters for a cool 18 years and I've been gaming, in general, much longer than that. Joined several pro league clans and tournaments but left due to school and anger management issues. I have played on the PC and console shooters equally and joined various self-made community anti-cheat teams ('anti-hack' for those who dont know the difference) for various F2P games (all ending in vain sadly but we did the work the company couldnt be bothered with). Let me see your credentials as a gamer since you obviously cant tell the difference between 1.3 and 1.4 aiming.
Also to name some shooters that didnt need this level of aimbot on consoles (or gamepad games in general): Every PC game that has gamepad compatability Ghost recon Rainbow Six 3 (original, black arrow, and lockdown) Halo:CE and Halo 2 (played H3 but only single player) |

Seymor Krelborn wrote:aim assist is fine... remember they fixed hit detection and hit boxes too... that's why it seems so op...just get used to it.
I see a lot of people saying this and I wonder why.
So if I stop shooting, does my aim assist suddenly stop working? Also there was never a problem with hitboxes. If I argue about dogs, you better not bring a cat to the argument. |
