Dev tags are in all sections except this one; not counting the sticky. CCP Mintchip, our community representative writes her "this week in Dust thread" in the General Forums and completely passes up our section. We may be small in number but we are still here.
Temba, where have you gone? I want to know more of The Thinking Man's Strategy.
Whatever happened to True Adamance. I know he's still around. He posts constantly in the Intergalactic Summit. Surely he must have a tale of the Ammar he can regale us with.
Zyanic. Your short stories are descriptive and entertaining. Continue to write, please. I may not comment, but trust me when I say I read.
My fellow authors do not be disheartened by our low numbers. Do not let our art die. New Eden is vast, filled with interesting people, whose stories we could create and tell. We have the ability. That is why we are here. Tell your stories. Tell New Eden's stories.
I hope this reaches you, my fellow authors. Our stories must be told. The Thinking Man's Strategy will continue, and thank you sir for your support and interest. I did pen a short story that will serve as the back story for a character that will be introduced in Chapter 2. The short story is titled "The Emissary".
My motivation for writing is probably the same as many of you, first and foremost a great appreciation for the amazing canvas created by CCP that is New Eden, and a strong desire to fill my characters drop suit or pod with an imperfect being who struggles amidst the horrors of never ending combat in a cause he deeply feels is just, a cause that he will painfully give his life for time and gruesome time again. I want to tell the tale of the price this never ending cycle of death and destruction extracts from a person as they endeavor to hold onto their humanity in the inhumane context of immortal warfare.
In a game that is fueled by real live player interaction, giving real voices and backstories to the characters we animate in our game play feels correct, I write for the hopeful enjoyment of you, the other players and writers who have embraced the concept of New Eden, who breath life into our interactions in every battle and throughout every constellation we inhabit here in CCP's digital sandbox.
