We have been abandoned. CCP has made a section dedicated to fiction where we may paint our stories on the vast canvas that is New Eden and they have shown no interest. Dev tags are in all sections except this one; not counting the sticky. CCP Mintchip, our community representative writes her "this week in Dust thread" in the General Forums and completely passes up our section. We may be small in number but we are still here.
Temba, where have you gone? I want to know more of The Thinking Man's Strategy.
Whatever happened to True Adamance. I know he's still around. He posts constantly in the Intergalactic Summit. Surely he must have a tale of the Ammar he can regale us with.
Zyanic. Your short stories are descriptive and entertaining. Continue to write, please. I may not comment, but trust me when I say I read.
My fellow authors do not be disheartened by our low numbers. Do not let our art die. New Eden is vast, filled with interesting people, whose stories we could create and tell. We have the ability. That is why we are here. Tell your stories. Tell New Eden's stories.
I hope this reaches you, my fellow authors. Our stories must be told. |

Yeah, time is the thing. I personally sometimes end up writing while playing the game. In the middle of a pubmatch after a death I might just end up writing anywhere from a word to a paragraph. It's sometimes slow, but I get some good content out of it.
As for jacking up to eleven. I think my current project, Euryale, probably falls somewhere in a six, maybe edging into seven. I'm going to go for the long haul on it, so hopefully the quality will maintain if not improve.
I am willing to put in what effort I can afford at the moment to see this subforum grow into a cornucopia of ideas and fiction. Maybe if we do well enough we could all make something that eventually becomes canon.
Or not... One can dream right? |

I have a dream of making the Dragonaurs something more than space fascists. I wish you the best of luck.
I just want the Gallente to be something more than drones. For such a varied people there's got to be something, right?
We can try and I'm sure we'll see each other on the other side. Bring your friends. The more the merrier.
If anyone else does see this. Could you say what drives you to write the types of stories you do for Dust? I'd like to know and I'm sure we could all share some ideas. |

I have never RPed before and while I would like to, from what I've seen I don't trust myself to do well, particularly since there's a lot of lore I know I'm missing that would probably help me do it well. I mean I know my character, his backstory and his motivations, I actually posted it somewhere when someone once asked "What is your character's backstory?". |

Good to know readers and authors alike are out there.
Mamertine, it's a pity how right you are honestly, but don't let it discourage you.
Denak, I would love to discuss lore but currently I only know of the chronicles of which I've only read a few. It may seem morbid, but I really enjoyed the Methods of Torture stories for the four empires. I would also like to ask if you could give me a source to view information on Intaki and their customs, as well as a crash course on their language if such information exists. I need it to flesh out a character in my story. Plus I'm sure it would be an interesting read for some of us.
Temba, with regards to your story, "The Emissary", Wow... That is all. |

I knew a lot of info would be incoming but, wow. I bow to you and thank you for presenting me with this treasure trove of information. Luckily the character won't appear for a while, so I'll have time to really dig into this. Thanks a lot. |
