Of course it'd be possible.
But a lot of people would get very pissed and leave if that was the case.
Ours is set at 1%!

We have a 13% tax rate, and then payroll weekly, so its kinda like working on salary. the government gets their cut (which 13% a lot less than uncle sam) and then you get nice perks, like.. a paycheck
our benefits are great tho, children attend college cheap, and the dental plan here is 2nd to none
no one complains about the tax rate, cause their salary and benefits far exceed their contributions.
bottom line.. the players profit :P |

Think of it this way, if a corp that is just starting up was in need of enough ISK for a clone pack they could:
- Send a mail detailing about how they set the tax to 50-80% for a day while explaining what it'd be used for
- Everyone plays in cheap standard suits while still doing well
- Players still likely profit while the corp gets the ISK it needs
If they get the district they could pay it back later.
It's a way to allow someone to invest their ISK without constantly asking for donations the corp won't get. |

if this is about me on the eve side, i let the dust guys set the tax rate on the dust side :) edit: also, if you ever need to build funds for something you can set your tax rate to 100% for a few hours. it's a good way to pool. Or you could just get everyone to donate. Much faster and leas frustrating. |

Smaler corp higer tax
Biger corp less tax...
And that shoud be. My smal corp (1 person in dust, 2 in Eve) 30% tax.. and it is ok for us. We can do enything as solo players and we can do a lot for corp.
So set it suitable for yourself. If big corp (100+) have it bigger then 5%.. go elsewere. There is neoug ISK for everyting, and CEO only need it for luxury. |

EvE side it's not uncommon for smaller corps or alliances to have "Corp grind weekends" or something, announced in advance, where the tax rate will be set to 100% for a couple of days and players are encouraged to grind for the benefit of the corp to fund corp programs (in Dust this would be: to pay for clone packs). Similarly they can have a "corp mining monday' where everyone brings out a mining ship and drops the ore mined in the corp hangar. |

There is neoug ISK for everyting, and CEO only need it for luxury. 100 members x (150k (average payout for a match) /20) so it would be like 7.5mil per 10 games for 100 members? something might be wrong there but basically you should be able to afford a PC match per day at least if your corp is active
also regarding what you said, the dust side money is only accessible by you since you are the only dust member, you might as well not have tax since youre basically just taking 30% of each match and putting it into a savings account you also need to remember that eve and dust isk are nothing alike so even if the eve side 30% ends up being like 10mil isk for a mission it is no where near that amount on dust - when it will be accessible |

that 'expense' line item is called 'dental'
and why think the tax rate is so high? sure as sh*t aint cause we need the ISK.. |

ours is set to 7% as to where our training corp is set to 5% reason is our corp helps its members when they need the help also the expenses used for pc and or when a player needs help. we been doing the donating thing since closed beta and felt that we needed to keep this. our players are happy with how things are in our corp and if they are happy im happy.

I bet one of my old corps will set the tax rate to 30% or even 40% and the CEO will claim that everyone else is much, MUCH higher. |
