The AR may be my main gun but at least I try others and a lot of them are actually fun.

I messed around with them before the scope change and it felt it little weird aiming them and seeing the laser as you fire, but I really like the change to it now. Haven't tried it with AA because I'm a K/M user. I did try the AA in one game with a controller but I didn't feel like it made me awesome all of a sudden, I felt like I was doing worse.

Having used the LR extensively before the patch I'm not really noticing any difference in performance. It's just quicker for novice to learn. I have noticed a couple of new bugs though. Sometimes the beam disappears and sometimes the hit detection is atrocious (although maybe that's just lag).

The new scope is ok but the ads is so touchy that you have to have aim assist on or you cant line up a steady shot. I still **** face with it but when theres multiple enemies it wont stay on one target. Im still adjusting to the new mechanics. Ive been having so much fun with this new patch. I dont really mind all this aim assist cuz it does improve the gameplay. It just needs to be toned down a bit. I mean when the target moves to the left or right my aim follows so much while at the same time i move my aim to follow and it kinda sways back and forth if you will. Which is not helpful with the laser cuz you wana stay right on them to melt their face. I just gotta get used to it i guess.

PS taking out a heavy suit is only one step above killing a scout suit. Weapons viability is only tested when used on medium frames.

Lasers are kicking my butt, when I hear that sizzle now I run like heck! It's great to see them being used. I really feel like the battlefield is changing just a few days into the patch, seemingly for the better!

I'm torn on whether or not it is right now, especially with the aim-assist. I can see calls for a nerf coming soon, but hopefully it's in the same area as the MD was until recently.

This is space in the future after all. Have we learned nothing from Star Trek, Star Wars and other SyFy movies. Ray guns that shoot green, red and other pretty colors are the wave of the future, not bullets.

After a few minutes of getting the hang of it, it was awesome. Just had to downgrade my nades to get the ELM-7 (the department I work in is called ELM so its kind of fitting) on my normal sever fit. I really like seeing the beam it helps me not be nearly as herky jerky as I am with the AR.
