That will take 4 years 9 months if you release one every 3 months, that is May 2018. That is a bit unrealistic, don't you think? Even if you get them out every 2 months, that still becomes 3 years 2 months, that's October 2016. Of course I don't want to rush the development, but is there some plan of action that's been discussed? Perhaps getting more people on the team or something? Or is the sad truth that will will not be getting a racial outpost for each outpost type :( I have been on and off searching for this post the past few days to reply. Sorry for the delay. I just could not remember what thread it was in. I really have no comment on to how long this will take in the long run. However now that we have our "methods" down, and begin to build more assets that can be reused, and another level designer designing outposts the process will be speeding up a bit. The real time sink is in the art process. Not to imply at all that our artists are slow. But it does take a lot to make these things as gorgeous as they are.
First off, thank you LogicLoop for the reply! Onto the point, I would say that though we all of course want all the SI sets as soon as possible, do not feel rushed at all. If you guys are confident that Dust is going to last at least 10 years like EVE then even this long time frame I put out wouldn't be that big a deal in the long run. Now of course, if you can speed it up without reducing the quality then by all means! But the new Research Lab outpost is very gorgeous indeed, and if they all can be at least this quality from here on out then I don't think anyone will complain! |

I don't really see a problem with the extended timeframe. CCP plans for "the long haul," and as such, I'd expect that sort time timetable. However, I'm sure we'll see a bump at Fanfests or during summer/winter expansions if they begin such a cycle. |

If I am allowed to do so, I of course will. Mind you CCP Tigris is on the Cargo Hub. Im still mildly supporting the Production Facility as it goes through the environment artists. |

You guys should run a kickstarter to get more money for more artist, or let us the community make you some levels? hmmmmm? Put out the concept art let u have a crack at it, don't promise anything but don't be surprised by the work fans will do for free. Some of work at very serious AAA game companies... >.>
But more seriously I hope they outsource some of the art the same way eve online does it. I understand that would require more players playing dust. Please at least get us oe of each race guys like super focus on that once you have a map for each building type. Or something. This is eve online not caldari online : ( |
