I'd like to see some sub skills for the active scanner.
Increased Range (or make range amplification modules affect active scanners) Reduced Recharge Time Something to perhaps share the information to non squad members within a certain range of you. (Maybe make a module that allows this).
I LOVE this thing. It is so crucial without shared vision now.
Not to mention the WPs for them. Please tie it into the scan leading to a kill. It doesn't need to be much. When you scan a group down they become the Hunted in a hurry. It's like watching sharks with blood in the water. Maybe 10 points per kill and 1 point for scanning someone. |

WP NEED to be implemented for active scanners.
I'm a logi and now its crucial to use scanners constantly we lose a TON of WP per match.
I'm talking going from an average of 1500wp down to 500wp due to having to be scanning all the time.
1wp per player scanned and 10wp per scanned player killed as the op said.
As for the skills, it would just be more of an sp sink than a logi already is. |

There's no doubt about the SP sink, but think of it as reload speed on your weapon or whatever.

It would give scouts a real boost in usefulness if nothing else. |

I read somewhere that 1.5 will give scanner users some WP rewards in battle somehow.
anyway, +1 for the idea for more skills with the active scanners, like increasing the scan radius or range, length of time that targets remain scanned, etc. |

We do need some sort of skill bonus, how about +3% tracking duration and +5% recharge speed per lvl, leading to a max of +15%/+25%, this might seem a little high, but we have to get something for all the SP we put in other than WP. |

I'd also propose two Active Scanner variants; -One that shares results with your whole team (with appropriately crappy stats), -Another that doesn't inform the target that they have/haven't been scanned (again with appropriately reduced stats). |

My Duvolle Quantum scanner is already good enough the duvolle precision scanners need a buff tho.. |

In what way? Scout do not benefit from active scanners more than other suits. Quite the opposite the active scanner totally negletes the role of the gallente scout. Any Medium suit with active scanners is more useful than a scout with active scanner :(. |

i would like to see sub skills or both infantry scanners and vehicle scanners...i would like a skill tree put in to enhance what the scanners do as well..i would be willing to allocate sp for my logi lav to reveal downed allies and highlight/outline their bodies through terrain while burning my proto scanners.

You scan everyone on your team can see it. interesting ive heard 2 different things about this now, one is that with uprising 1.4 scanners only work for squad...one is that they work for the whole team which is it really can u link proof on that please? |

Pretty sure scan info is only shared with squad. If you are not in a squad, only you see the scan results.
I tested this while running solo and queueing randomly with a corpmate who was also using a scanner. Will do further testing just to be sure. |

The dropsuit itself does not act as a scanner anymore. Any information that a scout used to present with it's increased scanning capabilities is now only seen by the player himself. But it should help in figuring out where to scan to show the info to your squad.
I think a scout with dampening skills would be able to avoid being scanned and use the scanner to scan down an objective.
If there are two scouts there, one with an uplink. Additional teammates can spawn in to take said objective. All unnoticed. If there is only one person on the objective the two of them could take it without help. Or wait on reinforcements.
In other words actually using recon. |

If you look at the numbers you are wrong the only scout that can bypass a Proto scanner is the gallente scout with maxed Profile dampening skills and three Proto profile dampener. I don't know but that doesn't seem to be a viable recon fit. With maxed skills you get caught by advanced scanners. And Logis can be even stealthier than you through profile dampeners and they have more quipment slots and more health. |

Wow, that is crazy! I'd say that this is something that needs to be looked at. A scout with a complex dampener should be able to avoid even the best scanner (unless they add some advanced skills to make the scanner even better OR make them work with a precision enhancer). |
