I absolutely, 100% think that is how it will be.

I 100% agree with this as well. As a non tanker (dirty caldari assault here) I feel there should be some sort of loading animation (maybe it atomizes your current clone and spits a new one out) when you switch at a supply depot. The whole thing could take 10-15 seconds, during which you're completely immobile and vulnerable. That way people can't swap suits to heal themselves/rearm during the middle of a fire fight.
I also think there should be animations for getting in and out of your vehicle, during which time you're vulnerable so you cant hop out of a car and shoot people then hop back in when you start getting beat up. But, like the old saying goes, **** in one hand and wish in the other and see which one fills up first. |

my point was not that i have a problem with AV shooting at a recalling vehicle. as i said, it should be that way. right now tho with the current across-the-map lock-on av, with tanks that cant see past 250m, that get 3-4 shotted anyway, your trying to step on an ant that has already been sprayed with RAID. |

Or just a cool down. You can only swap once before being locked out for 20 seconds. That way people who call themselves pro but won't fight unless near it would have an additional 20 seconds to run around in circles like a headless chicken :)

we got nerfed because tankers are good? lol that is such a common argument and i laugh every time. an AR guy goes 25-0 and he's a good player. a tank goes 25-0 and its, "NERF THAT SH.IT!"
and dude......it doesnt matter if you have been playing Dust since BEFORE closed beta, infantry will never come close to understanding what it means to lose isk. hell, im not even a dropship pilot.
well, unless your just bad. my point.....NEVER complain to a tanker or pilot about ISK. if you have been here since CB you should know this.
timer on resupply? i cant imagine the **** storm that would be caused by all the infantry. |

Probably because I like to watch explosion's. As far as ISK go's except for pc you loose a tank every 5~6 matches on a good day 2-3 matches on a bad day and none on a very good day. I learned that tanker's think they loose more money then suit player's. But that's not true if there good tanker's. It's the exact opposite and kind of tired of hearing tanker's pull the ISK card as a defense. But hey tanker's will complain about anything that effects them negatively just like suits will do the same. Human nature every suggestion every nerf/buff request is just one persons request for an advantage. I am just looking to take one away. For my advantage. |

All I got out of your thread, was that you only think and make stupid suggestions based on what is most advantageous to yourself, and think nothing of balance, nor look at your ideas and suggestions from a different perspective.
Maybe you should also learn to spell before you use 'big words', oh wait, 'small words'...

As long as infantry has 5 min wait time between switching suits and 2.5 min respawn timer too, then I am ok with this change. |

Infantry wants to reduce the effectiveness of vehicles yet again.
Seems reasonable.
Well, since we are asking for reasonable adjustments, how about we go ahead and make the supply depot a large structure and you have to go inside for 2 minutes to change your fit.
It would seem perfectly reasonable that you need to change your suit out, and that should take time. Unless you want to hotswap and waste a clone. Which gives you a death. |

in the case of vehicles a double standard is pretty much required.
vehicles are a role and I don't think a timer is needed, but they aren't infantry nor can they be handled like infantry, vehicles need to be handled as vehicles and vice versa infantry needs to be handled as a separate entity.
also keep in mind that infantry can only change at supply depos, vehicles can recall anywhere on the map, this fact alone is enough to warrant a short timer, but imo they just need a slower recall time, leaving them more vulnerable when they try that tactic, either this or give vehicles an infrastructure to do thee form of vehicle changes.
1.5 is a vehicle balance patch, if vehicles are being properly balanced, then vehicle recalling should be addressed in that patch definitely not before, as currently vehicles don't need any hits atm. |

Mortedeamor wrote:another infantry scrub trying to have vehicles nerfed more pathetic its bad enough every vehicle in this game is a 1-4 shot kill but then people like you are on here asking for stupid things like this.
and just fyi there is a call recall timer if you recall and then call then you are left standing their exposed for over a minute.
before you go asking for a nerf for a spec that you are not 100% dedicated to maybe you should consider the exact same nerf applied to your suit?
i run both proto av and have been running vehicles for over a year i have a right to ask for my gear to be nerfed you do not.
people like you are the people who made ccp over nerf tanks in the first place statements like this are what led to vehicles being so ruined in dust so STFU and get good
recalling a vehicle should take the same amount of time as it does to call in a vehicle, infantry have to GET TO THE SUPPLY DEPOT before they can change their suit .. you can recall your vehicle wherever you want .. you can also switch seats and jump in and out of your vehicle effortlessly .. for all the people who bang on about reality and immersion so no respecs etc etc why is getting into a vehicle instantaneous ... infantry dont get wp for taking a tank to near death and then it gets recalled and then they call in another tank .. in terms of realism its glaringly obvious that its faster to change dropsuits than it is to recall a flipping vehicle .. think of it this way what would take longer .. you getting dressed in the morning or waiting for a tow truck to take your car away ??? So quit QQ you know full well the recall time is far too fast and id have no issue with a 30 sec time to change suits if it took 3 minutes to recall a vehicle ..
dropsuit changes and vehicle changes should not take the same time vehicles should ALWAYS take longer to be called in / recalled |

******** point .. as I've already said what takes longer .. getting dressed in the morning or calling to have your car taken away by a tow truck ???? Infantry go to a supply depot to get 'changed' you click on your vehicle for recall and a few seconds later its gone .. where is the RDV coming to collect it after all it did drop it off ? As i've already said a 30 sec timer on changing dropsuits .. fine .. as long as there is a 2min recall on vehicles .. go to a safe place and recall your vehicle .. if your honestly saying you should be able to recall a vehicle on the battlefield instantly as soon as your in trouble or that dropsuit changes should take the same length of time as recalling a flipping vehicle then .. LOL don't bother replying I wont speak to idiots any longer than is necessary |

Nope, I'm not an idiot, I call in my next tank before I recall my current one. But I also don't hot swap in the field, unless their is a pressing urge, like I am pinned down by a rail tank in a blaster. Other than that I go back to deployment to swap out. No sense getting sniped in my awful MLT dropsuit while standing around waiting for my new shiny.
Just an FYI think skins, with the new swarm launcher timers, there is no such thing as a safe recall. If a tank is taking enough damage to decide to recall, in the time it takes to hop out, recall and have the vehicle become unhittable is long enough for you to get a full mag of swarms out.

Oh, well there's the problem right there, amigo. You see, you're not actually speaking to each other, you're writing on a forum. Talking involves verbal communication usually delivered via close proximity but also via electronic devices that transmit our voices over distances. Sometimes talking and reading can become very confusing, I know. Here's a quick test to help you determine if you're writing something, or speaking it. If you're looking at a computer screen and gaining an understanding of a topic through the use of typed characters combined to form words and sentences, then you're reading. If you're responding to those with words and sentences of your own, then you're writing.
If you're using your ears to receive information, then you're listening. If you're using your lungs, vocal cords, and larynx to shape the sound of expelling air into recognizable words and phrases, then you're speaking. Go on and try it!
Listening/speaking. Reading/writing. These are the foundations of communication. If you're trying to read what someone is speaking, or if you're attempting to speak to what someone has written, you are possibly insane and should have your genetic material destroyed before you taint our species with your madness. Ha!
Now go outside, and have an adventure! |
