You are likely getting owned for a couple of reasons.
For the last couple months, Aim assist has been so broken that most people just turned it off. This means that people have had months of training and experience putting rounds on target with no assistance. AKA, we can already put and keep our crosshairs on you.
Now that aim assist is back in, the people who were able to keep on target without are now glued lock solid to their targets. This is a good thing. This means that instant-direction swap strafing from KB/M users, and bunny hopping are no longer effective methods of evading fire. Without aim assist, that no-aim assist person was already close. All those tactics did were buy you a few extra rounds of life, which was enough for you to win a fire fight(Especially you Explosives users ;) ).
If you want to stay competitive, learn the tools which the no aim assist players have spent the last 2+ months learning. Stay behind cover. Pick your engagement ranges. Don't pick every single fight ever just because you have an AR. Don't bunny hop; it's burning your stamina, and it makes you look like a tool. Re-evaluate your loadout - what may have worked then may not be the right choice now(*Cough* Damage Mod Spam *Cough*).
Just some food for thought. Ignore it at your own peril. |

IMO strafing is gungame. The better you out strafe your openents fire and land yours, told how good you were.
Now it seems a bit messed up :(
Sadly, I cannot speak for scouts. I have a scout alt, and life just sucks for scouts in general :(. Here's hoping they get some love in 1.5/1.6! |

HOWEVER, adding an aimbot isnt the answer. There is a word for it, its called cheating.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I had it on yesterday, and I was still missing in engagements. It's simply easier to stay on target now in close to mid range. I can count on one hand the number of instances where I felt that the aim assist was doing too much work. But, that could be subjective to how I play using the DS3.
EDIT: And the assists don't even seem to activate past 40 meters.. |
