In cod, you run around the map and shoot ppl down in like 2 hits, no one ever sees you comming and you kill them unexpectedly. Now that our freindly team sight is gone, we run around just as blindly looking for targets. Now that we all have aimbot, we kill ppl with ARs as fast as an AR kills someone in COD. Now that we have no strafe, we cant break the aimbot so we simply die. There is no need for skill in dust now!!! get rid of the aimbot :(( its not fun to play cod, or a cod clone that is slightly more involved with alittle math. It feels like we advanced, skill heavy players are no better than scrubs, reguarless of SP http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYGlWjIKoY4
I dunno, with my own aimbot set to off, i had fun in my 47/3 i ran yesterday and i dont even use the AR, just a Scrambler o7 |

On one hand, the strafe and track style of last patch was a great homage to old school FPS and the ability to expose a "good player's" lack of sustained aim was very refreshing but it ruined the tactical aspect of the game. Positioning and squad based gameplay was reduced to dance offs in open ground. Now you actually have to use cover to your advantage and with barely enough lateral movement to make that possible. It's not as twitch as other modern FPS, but TTK can be an issue when a quarter million ISK suit doesn't feel like it's worth the price. I think if they work on optimal ranges on certain weapons and tweak HMG dispersion, we could find a happy medium. those fixes wouldent change ppl with no skill being on level with ppl whos been playing for a long time, or make it feel like your expensive suits are worth a damn. In pc, we use tactics and do not go into open ground engagements unless theres no other choice, and the better of the 2 won, or the ppl involved who showed the better tactica. Now, you run to cover and get hit by aimbot and constantly loose your expensive suits due to aimbot and no strafe speed. That is not fun, cant even call yourself better than anyone cuz were all aimbots
I never actually considered Dancing a tactic used on a battlefield, but it does seem you do? I have hardly come accross anyone who can aim, the Aim assist doesnt work when ADS'ing and spraying from the hip is 99% bullets miss their target.
How i look at it at how it was before:
To get a "Better" Team you needed:
- 2 to 4 Tanks, benefitting from Squadvision. -Preferbly 2 teams of 6 SquadVisioned Zerg-O-Maniac Leap Frog Teams, that think 6 vs 1 = Skill. - World Level Dancing License, while the other 5 Dispatch the target that is trying to track Speed Dancer on Coke. - 2 - 4 LLavs racing around, insta gibbing everyone even if they performed a near miss on target. - Have Moar Explosive Weapons then the other team. - On a tactical sound position, Lob Grenades as if your lives depended on it and don't stop lobbing., just DON'T!! - Have everyone use the FOTM fit of the month.
And theres your example of a Pro team using tactics like a boss.
