Or maybe it is all the updated added in 1.4 that makes it more enjoyable? I am using both mouse and ds3, and the aimbot is hardly noticing, I still aim better with the mouse even if I consider myself above average using DS3 solely before 1.4.
It is tiring listening to all the whining from the vets. Give it a week or two of testing, there has been more updates than just aim assist, like slower strafing and changes to hit detection. Coupled with a wonky matchmaking I say you are far too quick to dismiss the updates. I like the aim assist as using the DS3 is now getting close to the mouse.
Is it really that bad that the vet mouse users can no longer own most ds3 players? |

It actually works really good, controller in left hand and mouse with right hand and keyboard on the lap. I only use the keyboard for typing messages as I prefer using the ds3 for movement. You should give it a try, the aim assist added is by no means that good. I had a fight 1v1 yesterday that lasted two clips as both of us were heavily armor tanked and running around each other. I used the ds3 for testing of the aim assist and could no see any noticeable difference from before 1.4, I would have done better with the mouse. You might argue that both of us was terrible at aiming |

Chibi Andy wrote:aim assist, no squad/team view, how the heck will i survive as a heavy? CCP is telling me that as a heavy i must now "run" around the map looking for someone to shoot at since i can't see them via squad view and at the same time pray that i can "outrun" the enemies aim assist?
seems like with every update we're taking 3 steps back >__> good job CCP, good job
Stay with the squad, do not go Rambo style and you have your back covered. The enemy are at the same disadvantage as you, gesh what is up with peoble today. |

You might argue that both of us was terrible at aiming well, i can promise you i certainly dont have aiming problems. I can also tell you that at the beginning of uprising, in the heat of terribad mouse control for tanks, I would drive with my left hand on the WASD and my right hand on the controller. was actually very fun and demanding on my brain.
Hehe, I never tried using ds3 and keyboard in combination. Might give it a try just to see how it works. I actually think I am making a mistake using both DS3 and mouse instead of just one of the control methods exclusively. Never really mastering any of them but staying good with both. |

This isn't a game where we all have 100 health and its finite whats the point in having high health point value suits... you can camp longer?
and yes iron i was getting outclasses by militia people clearly..... and i'm so hurt... and scared.... no wait...? sigh..
You know, it could have been a vet FPS on an alt character, and you are just not as good as you thought getting killed by a skilled player in militia gear? I often die in my proto suits against all type of players and take down other proto players in advanced and started outfits. This all happened before 1.4, I really cannot see any different after 1.4.
The matchmaking are updated and you were probably setup against skilled players instead of 16 random noobs you could own in your proto suits.
Remember, matchmaking are updated and you will be facing more skilled players if you are a skilled player yourself. Do I need to repeat this? |

The matchmaking is definitely not without its bugs, but are you sure it is not doing some of its magic already? I was on a random 16 blue dot team against 16 red dots with two corp squads. We won the match, the matchmaking clearly put a higher weight on the squads and set them up against skilled solo players. The old matchmaking would have given them 16 random noobs. |
