I guess I did it in celebration of the 1.4 patch, and after continuing my reading on the lore...Well...I got entranced by the Universe. I have to say, it is one of the biggest and more...Freedom filled worlds I've ever played in. Well done, I have to say to CCP. I had a lot of fun, even just flying around in the never ending blackness that was space (Despite the lack of uber-direct control you're given over your ship as opposed to your merc)
I do have to ask, how in the world it is that CCP got to something so fun, when Dust, while fun, isn't at the level of enjoyability I got from exploring New Eden in EVE Online. What in the world did they do in EVE that they're doing so differently in DUST?

Also, in EVE, get into a corp ASAP, or at least find other people to play with. The enthusiasm will die fast if you don't have a buddy or a community sense. I can also extend your 14 day trial to 21 days, if you haven't bought in yet :p

Any EVE vets know? It took EvE 10 years to get up there. EvE was just the same as dust is right now when they started off. Give Dust514 5 years. Surely people will stay play it in 5 years.
I'm sure it won't take 5 years to become REALLY enjoyable. 2 at most probably, maybe 2 and a half to become truly different in a way that is obvious. And no, it didn't take EVE 10 years to become good. EVE just had its tenth birthday. There's a difference. |
