So you can no longer dodge bullets by two stepping in front of an HMG's 2000 RPM spray of fire?
So you have to use strafing as an effective means to seek cover when under fire? You know, what strafing is supposed to be for.
So no more strafing/bunny hopping tryhard children exploiting ridiculous game mechanics?
Good!
I see much QQ on the horizon. |

I see much QQ on the horizon. Solid point but Most people with good gungame can deal with bunnyhoppers... I don't even need to aim. |

yep bunny hopping was never an issue for me, it was honestly one oft he fun parts of the games, made duels interesting and dynamic.
not sure why you think an aim bot doing all the work for you would be fun....
anyway as usual I will adapt |

anyway as usual I will adapt The problem was players could easily avoid having hits register simply by making small fast side to side/up down movements. This was the case even if the person shooting had perfect aim. |

I'm considering rolling with an HMG a little bit. Haven't used it much in Uprising at all. |

You'll just have to play smart and NOT RUN up on a heavy. Who would have guessed not to run up on the heavy that has a HMG. Range is the AR best friend. Pick a heavy off from range??
You cant stand out in the open anymore trying to do the matrix. Cover is the next thing to be nerfed |

I haven't tried the new aiming yet, but aiming in this game has always felt like sort of an afterthought after playing years of Quake and UT. Dust is slow, and a lot of what wins a firefight is proper positioning, squad support, flanking, and just generally out-thinking your opponent. This change just makes that even more the case.
With the need to aim gone for people who couldn't before, this makes Dust much more of a numbers and tactical game (like Eve) rather than a strafe shooter.
notice: I liked how it worked before and haven't tried how it works now, I don't care either way really, just my 2 cents. |

Now I've noticed other players can now more frequently supply a steady stream of damage to me.
Thus far, I don't seem to be as effective as I was before. So I guess I'll have to work on the new mechanics a bit. Is it possible my aim sucks so bad even auto aim cannot account for it? |

Lol ARs outrange most weapons, good in almost any situation with no drawbacks, can take down Heavies in less than 2 seconds, and with Aim Assist you don't have to Aim it anymore.

In the match I was just in, quick side-to-side movements from both myself and an enemy were literally more than tripling our survival times.
I ran into the same opponent several times, and we seemed to mostly take turns standing still/moving straight and strafing like lunatics. When we both strafed, he won because I had an Exile on a Skinweave suit and he had a Duvolle on a Proto Logi. When he strafed and I didn't, I died so fast it wasn't worth timing. When I strafed and he didn't, I got the kill in about half a second.
Sorry, strafing still helps. |

Sorry, strafing still helps. Do you use KB/m
Do you know if your opponent did.
If you were in fact using DS3, maybe you just simply aren't as good as you thought you were ie can not hit a moving target' |
