This will be brief and this idea is not fully fleshed out so please comment and add to it . CCP, I believe in you fully when you say that 1.5 will intro vehicle locks. Specially when you realize that there is already very little player retention and nothing invested in your tittle other than the weeks and months of time spent grinding THRU SP CAPS . Players that enjoy this tittle and therefore play more than the casual player already feel they are being punished for ENJOYING this tittle because of SP weekly caps and then after choosing a weapon system or vehicle to skill into just to have it nerfed or a troll steal ur 1.5 million ISK tank or sit in it till it pops.
may i suggest a comms[u] implementation that would automatically connect vehicle gunners( blurbys or player not in ur squad) and commander/driver when they enter the same vehicle.[/u To you pilots and drivers , is this even an issue?? I have not skilled up vehicles and am basing this just off wat i have observed
comment below and please after being a direct part of 5 prebeta/ game test focus groups 3 of which are AAA tittles, I realize CCP has missed the mark on some basic FPS fundamentals BUT they ARE actively trying to fix and patch so PLZ NO RANTS |

In answer to the LAV "problem," I propose this: Scout LAVs should remain as they are. Speed and acceleration are their purpose, and running people over is a perk Logistics LAVs should have less acceleration, but greater PG/CPU. Couple this with awarding points for LOGISTIC ACTION, as well as allowing the passenger seat to wield a repair gun, and *check this out* placing a Repair Turret on the back. Before you cry your sad, blind eyes out, you should think about what this means. Though it allows for more health on an LLV, the significant reduction in acceleration, coupled with the changes to vehicle impact coming SOON (tm), means that impact kills will be so difficult to achieve, you won't see many from LLVs. The Logi action will be the important factor, ie the repair of armor, shields, and possibly ammo to infantry and vehicles. The repair tools and turrets would be unable to lock on to the vehicle you are riding in (for obvious reason) and wouldn't make the LLV unkillable. The repair turret (optional) would be more powerful than the tool of the same level, making it viable, while the "gunner" could easily be taken out of the seat, same as now.
I am of the opinion that, due to the inordinate love for assault action, these changes would mark a significant change in vehicle use. Fewer would flock to LLVs, as they would be easier to hit, while also making it harder for them to earn kills. More are interested in Assault action than logistics, and assault players would gravitate to SAVs, which can take less punishment, effectively reducing the Q_Q that AV and Non-AV spout as of the current build. |

Yes, it is a problem. If I could somehow get them to hear me as I yell, "GET THE **** OUT!" or, " STOP SHOOTING AT THE MCC AND THE PEOPLE SHOOTING AT US OR GET OUT!" , it would be easier on my part. also, if I'm not on team comms but in a good game with some good gunners, I could say something like, "Hey bro, around this corner, they're some guys in X location, so get ready, K?". It would be awesome......
Anyways, we're all pilots, not, as you put it, "pilots and drivers". That's insulting, but good read anyways...... |

It's got ~5-6k eHP depending on the fit. I'll be fine with a 10% decrease on speed and acceleration. |

For those who use it as an assault fit, with all slots used for HP and self rep. That'll disappear with my changes. Their eHP will drop, making them very squishy. They'll still need to make getaways, and lowering top speed will make them too easy as targets vs their pricing. They'll still be expensive to deploy, and if too killable, no one will use it at all. If they want to tank, they'll make fewer points anyhow, driving them back to SAVs. (Still looking forward to MLVs and HLVs. I can only imagine them being allowed in PVE, but how sexy would that be ) |

For Logi LAVs, have the infantry repair module target up to 3 dropsuits at once, prioritizing based on who has the lowest shields/armor, as appropriate for the rep. Have a 2 second pulse for repping, with a total of 5 pulses. Between each pulse, the module scans all dropsuits in range to see which has the lowest shields/armor as appropriate for the rep and retargets immediately with no time to lock, and then reps that pulse. repeat for all 5 pulses with a 25 sec cooldown.
Modify numbers as needed. But the infantry repair tool should be a fire and forget kind of rep, letting the computer pick who to rep as opposed to manual targeting. Less player control, but targeting the one player you want with the current system is a nightmare, made worse if there is a cluster of blueberries together. Just turn on the tool and let it do its thing, While you maneuver to keep them in range of the rep/target a vehicle to rep as well/what-have-you. |

That kind of takes the skill out of Rep-work. I don't like the idea of pulses and cools for a repair tool either. Logistics, like any other role, should take skill and practice. That rewards better players for being better, and teaches worse players to get better. |

1: the high eHP for LLV's needs to stay, as they need it for being logi
2: a speed nerf and a HP nerf on top of the fact that it is **** for actual logi woul dmake it even weaker than the DS's
3: WTH are MLV's and HLV's? I can't figure it out. |

The lock on **** needs to go. It needs to be a Triage module with a infantry repping bubble imo. That would make the LLV perfect. |

1: Agreed 2: Dependant on modules and preference, not a blanket speed nerf, as you proposed. 3: Medium Logistics and Heavy Logistics. They need to happen.

Well, they don't need to be squishy. Like we agreed on, it still needs that tank to take a few shots, but it shouldn't be able to get away as fast as they can now. Plus, it's already hard to keep pace with the slower units, so a speed nerf would actually help (whoa, I just realized that nerfing can actually be a buff if looked at right lol). Anyways, maybe not a Heavy Logi, but a medium Logi? That could be used for supplying troops. Beam supplier that locks onto anyone outside of combat, and gives them ammo? |

I like to heal my tank friend but I get no points for it id like them to fix this and spawning my lav y don't I get any point for that , now here a thought as im healing my tank friend he get hit with proto swarms in sted of going and killing the guy he backs up on me like a pus and kills me thus doing dmg to himself and killing both of us have u guy have any problems with ppl , and 1 time I was trying to find him on the map so I can get in the tank so he can put the strike down he thought the blue dot was me and he got out ya he kill the ppl but the blue dot toke the tank in the red zone and thay both died y cant u recall it remotey and kill the blue F***er? and have this happened to any of u? |
