Say that to Halador, I was squadded up with him yesterday and he went 27-0 in an assault dropship as I only went 10-0. You can aim, it just takes practice.
Though I would like an option for the turret not remain aimed where you move it, currently it always wants to return to it's neutral position which can result in fighting the turret to keep a consistent aim on something. |

Must have been a bad team, I had AV at all times. So do I and every assault dropship pilot. The key is to identify them and kill them.
Ok ADS pilots run away from AV Good ADS pilots run away from AV then return with fiery |

And try not to have gunners unless they are going to be the main shooters, trying to kill someone while keeping the DS in position for the gunner is not very easy. But the point is that I shouldn't be limiting myself to just that one turret in a Assault Dropship. I've been using the cycled missile turrets for a long time but recently switched to the accelerated missile turrets, all work well. Of course they are all missile turrets, but I've also seen really good ADS pilots using the blaster turrets. Have yet to see a rail turret ADS. |

Ok ADS pilots run away from AV Good ADS pilots run away from AV then return with fiery Too bad this never works vs Forge Gunners. I can absorb 2 forge gun hits and the third kills me, unless it's a breach forge gun which I can either absorb one or not absorb any at all if he has proficiency. Luckily breach forge gunners are a rare sight. Anyways its definitely a bit harder than swarm launchers but still - get hit by one forge shot, afterburn the hell away, let shields/armor regen, return with fiery.
The main difference with swarmers and forges is for swarmers you can hover your ADS right in front of him and keep firing as he launchers his swarms, but for the forge gunner you have to keep circling him making it hard for him to line up the aim. |

Not trying to knock on you or anyone else, but have you ever considered that piloting a dropship should not be an easy task? I in no way expect as many people to be able to do well in a dropship than can do well as an infantry or tanker. That's how it should be IMO. Of course that said, I am very supportive of the upcoming buffs to dropship eHP and shield regen as it is much needed. Still, if you're getting shot down easily now more HP is only going to delay your inevitable destruction. |

Still, if you're getting shot down easily now more HP is only going to delay your inevitable destruction. I am fully aware of the difficulties and requirements involved in handling the dropship, the only reason I skilled into it was because I had too much leftover SP. Maneuvering the dropship to avoid heavy fire can be done if skilled enough, trying to hit someone with anything that is not a Frag missile while being hit (or not) is downright annoying. I can get far more kills on ground in my Assault GK.0 and have a good impact on gameplay compared to the Dropship, even my terrible Commando AK.0 can do something on ground. I do not use frag missiles and see many people who do not use frag missiles. So you can do better with an Assault GK.0 suit? Ok, then do it. That doesn't mean that the Assault GK.0 suit >>>> ADS. They both have their purposes. |
