Like I said, it is NOT easy to find out what "public opinion is" by just reading page after page of comments. Its not..... Most posts are cluttered with opinions, which more often then not, are biased or based off fallacies. If CCP is looking for ideas to fix problems then I would advise them to look at the "feedback/request" section of the forums because that's where those threads would be located. This thread is in the "general discussion" thread because I wasn't sure where else to put something like this up and im pretty sure I was looking for a general audience to vote in it.

You think that reading dozens and dozens of pages worth of content is more effective then a simple tally system? Well.... if you like having your head spin then sure! But I personally don't like that, so I tried to create an unbiased voting thread to see numerically what people thought.

This is the general discussion thread, there is no obligation for me to write a post that provides "constructive feedback" when, as you've said, theres already dozens and dozens of those threads. Using your logic, there probably isn't a point at making new threads period. Because as you've said, theres likely already a post about it. But despite that people continue making new posts, and im no different. In fact, the only difference between my post and the others is that I presented it a little differently then most others have. But at this point you've hit my BS tolerance. Im done responding or even reading anything you post in my thread because at this point it really has become a waste of time. You can do whatever you want, but ill continue to urge people to vote, because I want to see just how people feel about things. Lol, have fun coming up with some sort of clever counter post if that's what you want to do Blink

You can see public opinion by trawling through all the other "This is OP, that is UP" threads on the forum ... as CCP devs have to do on a daily basis ... you're just providing them another one to read which will offer no opnion or debate on why they are OP or UP or any constructive feedback on how to balance them, which is what you WILL find in the other threads. It's relatively easy to see what people think is or isn't a problem by looking at what people are talking about in the first few pages of general discussion of Feedback and Requests sections ... if the Mass Driver is conceived as out of balance there will be threads discussing it ... if the SMG is working well there won't be ... it's relatively simple for CCP do figure out. a thread that allows you to vote in the same way this one does (because only CCP have ever done them) : https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1193570 It's no MY public forum, I don't own the dust514.com domain ... it belongs to CCP and it is them who has to waste time trawling through it rather than doing things constructive for the game like considering how a double sp event would be played out to maximise sp gain before they made a devblog and forum thread promoting an event which encourages avoiding active sp in ambush matches only. Perhaps the dev who has to read this was the one who would have realised the flaw in the plan, but he was too busy trawling through junk forum threads rehashing the same debates over and over. If you've got an opinion on something, use the search function and comment on an existing discussion, if there isn't one create one, if your opinion has already been expressed like that post to support it. If these forums had a little less rubbish in them there'd be a few more devs to work on hashing out solutions to these problems and they might get fixed right the first time rather than needing several balance passes to get an acceptable result and leading to more junk whinging whining QQing threads pushing all the proper balance debate threads out beyond page 10. I think it's time for a break from these forums, nothings gonna change the way people use them. See you after 1.4 and a few thousand likes o7

I'm done with people who aren't happy when you give them what they ask for ... it's no wonder this game is taking so long to develop when you give people what they ask for and they start moaning it's not what they actually wanted. As my grandad used to say "Say what you mean and mean what you damn well say" ! Case in point ... the afore mentioned double sp event, people said they didn't want to have to grind all week rather than saying they didn't want to have to spend twice as long playing to earn the bonus. Those of us that said what was wrong were drowned out by the 'mass spamming' of "This is BS, I don't want to have to play all week" type of threads.
