Just saying "Prototype suit" didn't really explain anything because it's POSSIBLE for a Militia suit to have more HP than a Prototype suit depending on how they're fitted. But since that's finally been addressed...

Doesn't sound like it should have happened though... unless you somehow crammed all those Shield Extenders onto a Scout suit that doesn't have that many High Slots? or took 2 grenades with perfectly-timed explosion? Or a Shotgun blast right before the grenade went off?
Other than those scenarios, it sounds like this is a legit complaint. |

Of course you begin the encounter with a grenade. It makes any battle much easier when you can catch them off guard with a grenade. |

The rest of my post still stands. Either something else damaged you close enough to when the grenade went off that you didn't see it happen, or I agree that shouldn't really be happening. |

We went from more than 9000 to less than 5000 thanks to unbalanced TAR, unbalanced contact grenades, unbalanced murder taxis, unbalanced flaylocks....lol.
Well maybe they need a BLAST AREA reduction. But damage wise they are ok. I dont remember surviving a grenade in ANY other FPS i've ever played.... |

Yep. Yesturday while i was playing in my tank hunter fitting ( breach proto FG cheap dropsuit and damage mod) I got 3 kills off 1 shot with my FG. So everyone was within about 2 meters of the blast. It was glorious. Course the 2 people i didnt frag quickly turned on me and killed me. But it was so worth it. |

I was under the impression that grenades cam kill any merc in one shot with a direct hit. My prototype heavy fit has roughly 1300 HP, and I sometimes die instantly to grenades. |

I can down you easily with my ar, but if you choose to huddle up with ppl or attack me and im outnumbered, I prefer to grenade and then finish you and whoever else is left off with my gex/divoulle.
Main point here is....do not group up with ppl sitting in one spot and do not gang up on me...or I will grenade you. Further more idc about your respect tbh, I can grenade anytime I feel needed, and if you think the reason is bc i'm bad, come at me 1 vs 1 and lets find out. |

Nanohive with a nade spammer? simply leave/flank/pull range. A wierd thing with dust over eve is nobody seems to get a rats about there ship, er, suit. people seem to focus on the kill just charging in check the area find a way to gain an advantage and take it
My fave way ot get nade kills is to wait for 1-2 people to start hacking a point then trapping them with the LAV and just tossing some nades while they attempt to jump over the LAV to get out |

The death screen total damage done numbers are misleading and frequently silly in the amounts they display.
It has already been discussed over in the tech support section, it shows the total amount of damage the player has done to you over the course of time he has been fighting you.
So say you got almost killed, you found a healing nano-hive recharged or waited for your reps to kick in and went back into the ruckus; the same enemy closed in on you and got the kill, it adds up both encounters and totals if for the amount of damage dealt, and if someone else finishes you off you end up see Y-player did 30-35 damage to you instead of seeing X-player did 1200 damage to you.
I'm using proto-type level nano-hive... they give me the grenades and ammo I need and keep at least some of my team with ammo.
So please let me do my cooking in peace.

Grenade explosion should have an effect on surrounding nades I.e. popping them or having the explosion fling them away. That one hgrenade will always be more effective and accurate than multiple grenades.
Hopefully this won't effect the server too much. |

I have to agree with grenades being a problem. Their power isn't the problem. It's the ammo count, allowing for spamming.
Just yesturday I had one of the most amazing matches, where I went 22 / 0 K/D, over 1600 WP, using a militia Amarr heavy frame, two Viziam SPs with 1 Complex Dmg mod, and militia grenades.
About half those kills were with just the grenades. I cooked and spammed them (thanks to nanohives), killing multi at a time throughout the whole match. I ended up in the number one spot.
Was glorious. But like I said in another thread a couple days ago, "Explosives are the biggest crutch in this game, right now.". |

I get the headshot sound with nades from time to time, even got one with a prox mine last night. Not sure how it determines hit location but that might be whats doing it. |

The main problem is the excessive bonus explosive gets to armour. A core locus minces proto armour, but splashes off proto caldari. We'll see if the new plate stats in 1.4 make much difference. |
