Hey planetary response organization, are you guys getting good at what you do again? And are you at all regretting losing some of your players now that you'll be able to do a corp tax? |

never heard of that.......
in any case pro is actually a pretty fun corp....
i think theres just a bunch of propaganda about it spread around by stupid ppl...
but thats ok..
if u think u can pubstomp me by bringing out full proto or ur best equipment thinking ur not going to die a single time in the battle....im going to laugh when u go 0 and 80...
heck some games we qsync into we dont even try to kill eachother..
instead we all gather up onto one of those giant towers..drop an uplink and a remote explosives and have fun blowing any1 up who spawns in on them...
its all fun and games in PRO...
plus we have the most epic corp name so every1 else is probably jealous anyways..
i dont think we can allow players that leave back into the corp.... im not so sure about it though but i do hear that some ppl who leave regret it..
plus we have enough money to run a dropship funding program..for all players...we dont really care about isk kdr and all that stuff but its actually nice being in a corp that doesnt say u need to have all these requirements like high kdr to join...
and guess what i dont really care what u think about it as we can make this game fun!... the way we play it.. |

Being good can be fun. Except when you're in PRO cuz being better than Joe at something usually winds up in him ostracizing you or flat out kicking you from the clan/corp. |

I genuinely enjoyed my time in PRO as a newberry. Joe gave me millions to learn how to tank and I appreciate it. However, I eventually wanted something more competitive so i left. Still, PRO was a pretty fun place to be.
Even though ML is a bit of a spinoff of PRO, they are very different. ML took the worst and best parts about PRO and magnified it. Kinda miss PRO...it was a fun place to be a newberry!
In all honesty, the PRO guys who are left aren't half bad at all. In fact, theyre as good as anyone when they work together. |

The first corp I joined as a newberry was one called Space Fish Empire.
I joined a random squad in a match and I was excited to just be able to talk to somebody. They had like 4 people and nobody was ever on. Except for Zero Stig who accompanied me from there to PRO when Ugg Reset invited me after squading with him.
There are some badass players who spent time in PRO at one time or another. Guys that have their name near the top of the leaderboard. There are some guys in PRO that are probably capable of something similar.
When the group of guys left to start Molon Labe we fought tooth and nail to create the groups that started training for PC. The reason we left was due to Joe shutting it all down 3 days before PC started. We all knew we weren't going to get where we wanted to be in PRO, but we had a sense of loyalty to stick around.
I have no idea how Joe runs things now, but it would take a complete 180 for PRO to ever hope to compete in a competitive environment. It's just not the way he does things. If you want to have a good time and participate in games that aren't in the framework of the actual game then PRO is the perfect place for you.
Most people come to the realization that they are going to need to find a place to go if they want to get better as a player and to play with better players.
Bottom line is that they don't deserve to get made fun of. Joe is doing what he wants to do. If he was coming on the forums talking about how awesome they are, then I can understand talking trash.
In regards to Molon Labe, we aren't ashamed of where we come from. Another corp that people like to talk trash about is Dust University (I'll never understand that, it's a training corp) and we've brought in a ton of those guys. They've been excellent additions.
I have a lot of friends spread out all across Dust from my time in PRO. I'll never regret joining PRO. |

spoiler: It's not
The gameplay is too generic, the balance is terrible, the SP system is idiotic, the maps are awful, and the servers are unreliable. If you want to play competitive FPS there are so many better choices out there that only rejects and cheapskates are playing Dust 514. For me personally, it's the community. Subdreddit is an awesome community, and derping about with the guys (and gals) in our corp is fun enough to keep me coming back for a few matches a week. Furthermore, if you step away from competitive play and just play to have fun, there's all sorts of goofy stuff you can to do enjoy the game much more than is possible in PC (where everyone is min-maxing). Hanging in a casual squad with friends while drinking some beers and chattering about your day while simultaneously running spider tanks, or running 6 heavies with lasers, or all scouts with nova knives, or flying 6 dropships at once, etc etc is all pretty fun. Playing 16 tryhards vs 16 tryhards trying hard to prove you're the best at a game that is fundamentally terrible for "serious" play, is not. |

I don't see how my comments keep other people from doing what they want. I think the reality is that most people who try out Dust 514 agree with me, thus the reason such a teeny tiny little sliver of players actually play Dust 514 even though it's a free game, and why only a tiny sliver of people who actually play the game actually play PC.
You're insulated from popular opinion in your PC focused corp that is only interested in "serious" players, and thus it's understandable why you have such an unrealistic and biased view of the game. I'm echoing the majority opinion, the majority isn't echoing me. |

I think you avoid the posts intention, which is that there are members of subdreddit that wish they could have a competitive group, I was one of them, and I know more continue on because they keep in touch (<3). NPRZ is just one shining example. Your comments discourage them from piping up in a hivemind community, I know a certain few keep low profiles about their desire for more, and you attitude contributes to that decision. That's all. I don't think you stone people for wanting to be competitive, and I don't think it's wrong for you to have that opinion, it's yours.
I have had friends from BF3 and other console shooters and they wouldn't commit because they found it was 2 difficult to kill anyone and they died 2 quick, explaining that the playing field is uneven and that they needed to "level up" enticed them to buy some passive boosters and go into hibernation, I hope this is true for many, don't know.
I'll concede now that i've been in TP's for 3 months, I may be out of touch. "Serious" players may be inaccurate, i think "skilled and teamwork oriented" is more appropriate. |

If people in Subdreddit want to play PC, it's their own responsibility to make it happen. Many different people have attempted to out together more "serious" groups, but no one ever shows. The overwhelming consensus is that PC is garbage.
For example, as I type this, have a PC battle in about 10 minutes. We've got about 35 player online. They can't get 16 people to play the battle. So again, if there are people in Subdreddit interested in PC, they need to either step up and get involved, or find another corp they are more comfortable in. It's just that simple. |

I wouldn't say that you're echoing the majority of the playerbase. You may be echoing the majority of your clan members, however. Because out of all the people in my corp, only 2 prefers not to play pc. Everyone else, despite qualifications, sp, roles, and experience wishes to play in all of our pc matches. I've had people join because their corp is not interested in pc, etc.
If I had to guess, corps that feel like they can compete, do so. Others may have accepted their position and are just casual. Then there are those that can't compete with anyone on any level but still try (which is commendable).
