0.o didya just derail your own thread? ...wow
Still I was part of duni until some days ago pretty much because they want to tax us for expenses that only a FEW can enjoy, and although the general playerbase is cool and enjoyable there is a rising tide of high and mighty, selfentitled ah*les who think they can boss newberries around... |

@CHIKANO
It's not really a tantrum. I have read every mail sent out and most of them are just friendly reminders. But sometimes the directors or CEO needs to be stern on making sure that the alliance chat is not used by Dust players for the time being. Currently the alliance chat is strictly for use by Eve Online players only until further notice. Besides, the IVY LEAGUE alliance relies on that channel for putting together fleets. To clutter it up with random players posting LFS or RF1 on the channel will not help the alliance in any way except be annoying especially considering that the alliance is rather large. |

I think it needs to be raised with Dust or even Eve UnI to have social channels listed or created. So the student body can casually talk with each other without disrupting official alliance and faculty missives. |

the public channel is chat.d-uni also eve uni has their public channel e-uni but you would have google that one to find it but it is possible to communicate to each other. I don't think dust can see corp descriptions which would make finding these things easier. Maken tosch already covered why we aren't allowed to use allaince chat. I hope we get joint operations that require dust mercs to be in eve fleets. That'll be a good day in dust 5+years from now. |

Petty use of Alliance chat in any corp will usually result in getting kicked.
D-Uni has some solid, entry-level players out there. I rarely regret squadding with those dudes.

dust playeres can use any of the eve chats. As an alumni of eve university for example I can get in their private chat channle they use for day to day banter and chat with them. Entertaining to make a nice splash of blue for the pod pilots. if you didn't know their default setting causes dust players to show up blue. |

And in my alliance if a Dusty directly talks to an EVE player, then they will most likely respond politely. |

Keep in mind that the policy might get changed in the future if the Eve-Dust integration becomes more meaningful in a way that encourages Eve and Dust players to use the alliance chat. But that decision will be left to the directors and CEOs of Eve-Uni and Dust-Uni. |

Hey, no need to post multiple times about the same thing. I read that the first time and fully understood it. |
