I'm looking for some advice on fitting viability.
I am skilled farthest down the sniper road. No, I'm not a red line grinder, unless the whole blueberry bush has been pushed back. I try my best to cover objectives and red spawns, destroy enemy hives and uplinks, and hack every chance I get.
However, I know my limits. Sometimes there are just too many snipers on a team and I usually switch to my Logi fitting then and let the veteran snipers take the perch, they know the maps better than I do at this point. This way I can go be a part of the gun runners on low-ground rather than having a good portion of the team on the peaks.
Yet, the Logi fitting is really there so my girlfriend can play on my account when she's over. I've invested no SP in it, it's all militia. It's not my play style really. I want to make an alternate fitting that can go down in the trenches and still make use of my favored suit, the scout suit.
I fit a scout suit... this will not change, I don't even know if I can provide a reasonable explanation why. I may not have one. As weapons go I'm not a fan of using the shotgun, though shotgun scouts are certainly formidable. I love, for some reason, the scrambler pistol. I was thinking that once I have skilled up to a reasonable point of satisfaction with my sniper rifle (Maybe proficiency III) I would focus on my sidearm, the scrambler pistol. Then I could fit a scout suit with a scrambler pistol as both main and sidearm, fit some codebreaker units, a shield extender so I can survive a hit, a range amplifier to keep aware, and one other low module on my Valor suit.
The fitting would run like this: use speed and amplified range to avoid people every chance I get, run and hack everything I can then bolt, skirt and flank opponents when the opportunity arises and try to utilize sneaky close range head shots.
My K/D R will likely be terrible, but that doesn't mean anything to me. What's important is that it seems like it will be fun. However, I'd also like it to be viable because dying every five seconds, or being unable to kill anyone, is not so much fun.

Try it out. If you like it, use it. If not, do something else. It's not like these fights have any meaningful impact on anyone.
This is true, I have tried it and enjoyed it. However, I am looking for some advice on how to maximize the potential of such a fitting, and if down the road there are any pitfalls I should know about before investing SP. For instance, perhaps scrambler pistols can't really kill anyone effectively at "endgame" gear levels or something, i don't know. I'd rather know experienced players opinions before blowing a million SP only to find out that Scrambler pistols are UP or codebreaker units don't work properly past level two or some such thing.
