Actually... this is quite a big update from CCP, not as big as it could be or it should be, but definitely a steep forwards. I half hoping this is the start of more meaningful updates.. you know what they say ;

Unlike you, I'd rather they fix what we have now than get new stuff that might further break things or might be broken because of what is already broken. It's like putting some paint on a rusted out metal catwalk; sure it looks nicer but when you try to walk across it you end up breaking it and falling through. I understand your point of view. But donGÇÖt forget one thing: It would be easier to balance for example weapons if all weapons where actually there rather than other placeholder try to fulfill the role/function of not implemented weapons. Better late than never. A step forward it definitely is. I just feel that itGÇÖs to small step.
Well... aim mechanics fixes, new map environments = ( More game-play variety ) some of the new installations looks like very fun maps, no more murder taxis, armor fixes to compensate for explosive damage, a more clean and polish Battle Deployment with "clear" contracts, Daily bonuses, Taxation....
It is a bit more than just a "Small Steep", but is not a HUGE steep.. is just a "Steep", full stop. |

Oh and to those thinking the new armor numbers will greatly enhance survivability.. How ? The reduction to movement penalties is nice but 20hp more on a complex plate is negligible in the face of 6M+ blast radius explosives with 130% efficacy to armor. Hell even against a proto AR that's half a bullet.
You underestimating how much of an impact the AIM fixes are going to have...the MD, FG and nades, are going to be allot less effective if people CAN kitten aim...I lost the count of how many times i got kill by a MD because the aiming let me down. |

If aiming is being fixed how will that make weapons with splash damage less effective for people who can Aim? I'm honestly thoroughly confused by that statement..Maybe it's just my interpretation but doesn't AOE damage require less precision? Also I wouldn't be so sure it was bad aiming mechanics that let you down in the face of a mass driver...I mean you have noticed that they shake your screen and the smoke blurs your vision right?
Is all about reaction time + Aim accuracy ....MD's at the moment relive on people taking to long to react and fine tune their aim, 100's / 200's of a second can make a huge difference in 1v1 fight. When i can aim properly again, most MD users going to have not chance against me. |
