Synthetic Waffles Kinsho Swords Caldari State 16	Posted - 2013.08.24 20:13:00 - [1] - Quote As a HMG user Im sick of that stupid map, its a hellhole for anyone that uses close quarters weapons like a shotgun or a hmg, I cant aid my team at all because i get gunned down by a sniper or an assualt rifle user, there is no way to counter them in that map due to lack of objects to use for cover and before you guys start spamming QQ, htfu or troll i want you to try walking around in that heavy suit and heavy gun that cant shoot a damn building from medium range, does anyone else have this problem?

One would advise you to use infantry support as backup, but there is a problem with that argument... blueberries. You just can't trust blueberries. Blueberries will abandon you the moment it become convenient for them in that map.

Spend a few days of SP on a basic medium frame to be able to run something different than the heavy in those few matches where the heavy role is not needed. It is the same for everyone else, not all maps are good for tanks or dropships. Some maps are not very good for shotgun scouts or snipers. The same goes to each match which can perform very differently. My specialized gallente logi medi support character depends on a solid team or I often end up running around alone doing assault work and loosing my expensive support suits where I could do as good with a basic medium frame. Skill into a secondorary role at least and I am sure you will start to find it much more fun playing as you can shift role depending on what is needed in the match you are in.

LAVs= fast heavies= slow HTFU

LAVs speed helps to remove one of the weakness of heavies on that map.

Go with a medium frame first and then go to your heavy If you want to find your snipers or enemies in general; equip an active scanner asap. I prefer an active scanner over looking for the enemy anyday. Sometimes the enemy is distracted by another blueberry so that gives you.enough time to scope out the area and see if it's worth it or not

To be fair there is AV (I know I know LAVs are OP) but they're being fixed. What Wyvern proposed was harder to hit transport. LAVs are already hard to hit so this would be extremely difficult.

I find that the best way to play that map is to just let the enemy come to you. I once killed 10 enemies in a row as they casually strolled into B while I was the only one there, but that was the socket with the buildings, and I kept climbing onto the building to shoot down at them, or hiding behind walls where they wouldn't check. However, I'm also skilled into the Scrambler Rifle, so using the high slots for damage mods + finding a high place = an easy way to get kills. Forge sniping works well too on this map, but I don't like using my forge against infantry. Like someone else suggested, if you can get a cheap (or blueprint) LAV, it will be your best friend. Just call it in whenever you need to get the heck out of there, or if you get overwhelmed, and then move to another vantage point. Either that, or drive right next to an enemy, jump out, and surprise them with a face full of bullets. Even though you have to be a little more creative, I still agree that there needs to be more things to hide behind on this map. The main issue is the sockets. Other maps have a much better selection while Manus only has a few good ones. It's also missing one primary feature: a large socket. These are usually the places that Heavies LOVE. It's because in most large sockets you get a ton of places to hide, enclosed areas, and corners. LOTS of corners.
