Why would somebody who likes Dust suddenly stop playing it just because a new console hits the market?

As long as Dust releases some sort of roadmap for transition to the PS4 by Christmas I don't think it'll die. Unless they announce Christmas 2014 or something for PS4 I think it'll survive. As Broadway brought up before there will be a logjam in the supply of PS4s. I think GTA is a bigger threat in the short term.

Runescape is constantly improving and growing, while the core mechanics were pretty solid (except in the EoC update), Dust 514 however is improving and growing but the core mechanics are broken. Bringing it out of the PS3 would be the best thing as it would give the developers a lot of room to grow and let them provide better faster updates. I do not think a year will hurt them, but if they wait too long to port over to PS4, then it may have some problems achieving that goal. So far, the game is a let down. I think we all probably built it up too much in our minds. I know I did after seeing a youtube trailer in 2011.

I have PS Plus and the game was downloaded automatically at some point. I was curious one day in Sept 2012 and the rest is history. I love to ***** about the game, but here I am as addicted as ever.

I could play games like GTA and ES for a couple weeks straight, but this is the kind of game I'd come back to every couple of months. With new features every month and passive SP, it doesn't hurt to leave and come back later.
