Turn speed changes.
They needed to happen. Heavies are already the slowest and biggest target in the game, why should i be insta done for because it takes 3 seconds to turn around even with sensitivity maxed. (DS3)
We already have enough disadvantages such as a limitation to CQC combat. (Hmg)
Armour buff.
This really doesn't give that much more armour a plate, maybe 1 or 2 more bullets in the long run, but the real advantage is that were 50% faster now. Movement penalties are cut in half on complex plates, so no longer will we be waddling constantly. only when we're out of are incredible low amount of stamina
Slower strafe speeds.
This helps all suits but i believe it helps the heavies the most. We have a devastating CQC weapon so the ability to track a target is very important. Slower strafe speeds make that a little bit easier.
Disable squad vision sharing.
This helps everybody a ton. Scouts the most, and heavies the least. Were slow so most likely to get spotted more often, and we usually center ourselves near the action or on top of a letter.
Lav Nerf.
Heavies always had the hardest time dodging these damned things. Were too slow and can't dodge them. This nerf helps heavies a lot.
HMG recoil reduction skill.
I like it better than the current skill we have, just sounds more useful. But i'll have to see it in practice.
So as you can see the heavies get a lot of buffs/ stealth buffs. This will finally make the class a CQC king like it always should have been.
I don't see these changes being overpowered. Just a huge improvement
the heavy suit still being the class with the slowest movement speed and biggest hit box still makes it a big target. big targets are never OP.
HMG recoil reduction skill.... kinda a nerf. dispersion reduction would be much better. |

Patrick57 wrote:Heavies are already sort of OP. really the only disadvantage to them is their slow movement speed. Other than that, they have an immensely powerful gun with 2000 RPM, and have tons of HP.
this "immensely powerful gun" has less than DPS than an SMG. Less range than an AR, and higher dispersion than both. (milita SMG does 25 damage per shot @ 1000 rpm. AHMG does 13 damage per shot 2000 rpm)
HMGs have 29% more dps than an AR at an equivelent level. but that comes with so many draw backs you might as well just use an AR. drawbacks:
reload speed low damage per shot ineffectual on shields (most common type of tanking amount of shots to kill is really high high recoil high dispersion reticule glitch making only shots register when the tiny black dot in the middle is on the enemy very limited range with high damage fall off other guns have similar dps with zero draw backs (AR) ... and the list goes on
heavies have low movement speed, turn speed, and a larger hit box than every other suit. their max ehp (max possible) is 1591, and in 3.7 seconds a milita AR can takeout a heavy without damage mods, proficeincy, or headshots included. on average heavies die in 1.5 to 1.8 seconds.
heavies shields rechager slower and in smaller increments than other suits. having lots of armor as you know means nothing because armor is UP.

here is another one.
You can get equivelent ehp to a heavy with a Caldari assault or logisuit (or a galente assault and logi suit) and still have higher movement speed, equipement, high stamina, low scan profile, AV (swarms are just as good as forguns), and carry an AR which out dps every gun in the game from 5m (outside CQC range) up to 75m.
what advantage is their to running heavy? A fully decked out proto heavy suit with 1591 ehp can be killed in 30 bullets from a noob out the academy with a milita AR in 3.7 seconds.
your average medium frame survives about 1.3 - 1.5 seconds under milita AR fire. however due to their higher mobility they evade and take fewere shots. Heavies cannot. so on average heavies die faster than medium frames.
now if that militia AR had proficiency, then the TTK is 2.5 to 3 seconds. if your using a GEK, then the timt to kill a heavy with 1591 ehp is 1.5 - 2 seconds.
you medium frames complain about grenades, and explosives in general, but imagine us heavies |

[quote=Aeon Amadi]Problem with CQC are two factors:
A.) Damage output. B.) Damage absorption.
CALDARI assaults or logis, with ARs have both. and their ARs are good up to 75 meters range and beyond!
CQC also is: C.) high turn speed D.) high movement speed
2 things caldari assults and logis have over heavies with HMGs |
