When I'm aiming at a hostile, sometimes their health bar gets in the way. I can't really see where I'm shooting so I try to shoot below the health bar and move my gun with it, if that makes sense.
I think the health bar above player's heads should be like our own dropsuit health HUD, the shield and armor circle around the target. This would help me see my target better, and would probably even look cooler than just a bar above a head. That's too mainstream these days. |

I am not going to knock this idea, because when I are up close and personal in close quarters battles it is a pain to have to look from your target area (chest) to above the head to see who is who and what their health status is...
I don't know how many times I have ran past raspberries formations because I was too close and they couldn't distinguish me from their own. |

For me, it'd be better for the health bar circle around the target. I can see automatically who they are just by looking at my target because my peripherals can see the circle health bar around my target. It'd be easier to distinguish hostile from friendly, especially in those close-combat situations. |

Sniping might be a bit too easy with this (shoot inside the circle for an easy hit) but I do see what you're getting at. How about keep the health bar as is but outline enemies with red? This way you at least always know if it's an enemy. Just a thought.
`Sigh. Just another fun game of DUST. |

no, mainly because I use the bar above the enemy to know how much health they have.
if it gets changed then it might take me a while to figure out how to tell how much health they have, the bar is better |

`Sigh. Just another fun game of DUST . I respect your thought, and thank you for your input. Then again, in situations like close combat, I'm always wanting to see how much health my target is. This way I can execute different decisions based on the health I have compared to the health he has. If the health bar is above the head, just that fraction of a second for me to look slightly up can be a matter of life and death. The moment I take my eye off my target, could be the moment where I will lose track of him. Meaning that my aim will be just slightly off, drastically lowering my DPS upon my target. If it makes sense. Having the health bar a circle would mean I can focus on my target while still being able to see his/her health. |

Hipster Synbot Like the idea, but wouldn't want too many resources put on it. |

healthbars are a major pain in the rear when sniping and aiming at group of people.
some alternatives:
- be able to turn them off manually - move position of healthbars as suggested here - change health bar system to another indicator, maybe use a color scale, green = 100%, red = 0%
but yeah, aiming at red spaghetti salad gets old fast |
