Well wtf are you doing rolling out a tank in a pub match? Of course if I see a tank I am going to pull out a suit that can efficiently take it out. Though I truly love running a militia forge gun and catching the tears when your expensive tank dies to my cheapass militia gear So how do you expect any tanker to have good instincts and experience if they don't tank in pub matches?
Oh wait, you don't care for vehicles anyway and would prefer them to be removed entirely. |

Heavy IG-L, particle cannon, 180 polycrystalline plate, local powergrid upgrade, two Carapace hardeners, active heatsink II.
That was the standard during Chromosome, except we were able to use the heavy efficient, compressed particle cannon, and 3 armor hardeners without breaking the bank. Ridiculous damage output combined with great survivability. No wonder all the assaults wanted tanks nerfed again. |

How about you learn to tank and see it from our side? Any one of us is space rich and could drop you a top "standard fit" Madrugar in missile, blaster or rail gun flavors for you to try it out. Odds are, you'd die second volley from PRO swarms, or get AV grenaded in about 4 seconds from ADV AV grenades. |

It seems everyone agrees that this needs to happen - we need ADV/PRO vehicles to contend with the all the ADVPRO AV. They need better HP and inherent resists activated by skill and whatnot.
As a side note, AV grenades are way OP against armor... I hope a change is considered in their damage/mechanics/something... So you're basically asking for the passive resistance skill to be done away with, as well as being able to put on passive/active resistance/hardener modules? No sale |

Putting a good cannon on your armor tank is the best you can do for getting a fit with a high DPS. Then the 2 gardeners make up for the list tank a bit.
Killing infantry withaddy = lots of tank. Not so much gank. Killing vehicle with a Maddy is lots of tank. A little gank.
If you want a glass cannon, get a gunlogi BC air tanks cannot sacrifice low slots for marginally better dps. It won't stack upagainst another.properly fitted armor tank.
Source: more tank battles than I care to talk about against some of the best tankers in Dust. Trust me: these fits work if you understand your vehicle. your W**** armor reps are going away eventually so you'll need all the tank you can get. I hope with that comes a parallel AV nerf, because if not, this account won't be used anymore and I'll use my alt and become an assault scrub like 98% of the playerbase. |

Why does it not surprise me that this is coming from an STB member, the oldest tank spammers in the game? No, I am tired of hearing you vehicle drivers ***** and moan about someone taking out your vehicle with something THEY fully specced into and then whining that every av weapon in the game is too op just because you can't drive. Of COURSE people are going to be gunning after you when your whole team has 4 LAVs and multiple tanks tearing around the map, to expect everyone to just bow down to what, if you had your way, would be an undefeatable hammer of god is completely absurd and just makes you sound even more petulant. If CCP finally gets around to balancing these vehicles correct they should be expensive enough thst they would primarily only be used in corp battles and pc, or at least expensive enough that they would be seriously thought about before deploying in a match, only then would I agree that they should have their power upped. Activision is waiting with their arms wide open, since it's apparent you hate vehicles that much. |

How odd... As far as training your instincts and experience? How much experince do you hope to gain if all the weapons that pose any kind of threat to you are as underpowered as the whining minority if tankers (see what I did there?) would like them to be? Sounds to me like you just want a god mode, as it is the worst tankers out there already do nothing but destroy turrets (and for some reason all the friendly supply depots, do they not know or just not care how detrimental that is to their team? idk) and take half-hearted pot-shots at passing heavies. My main beef with tanks in pub matches is this: if they are easily obtainable enough for five idiots like that to use in a single map then what do you honestly expect the rest of us to do? We should not have to devote half a team to taking on a single tank, let alone five, if av weapons were nerfed there would be so many vehicles in the field constantly that there would no longer be any gunplay because we are trying to do something about YOU. I have said before in other threads that I am definitely willing to compromise. Give us a sticky explosive like c4 that has to be applied from within a foot of a tank instead of bs av nades, lower the power of each forge shot but lower the charge time and up the clip size and strike speed so it requires more skill than one or two lucky shots. Give us some proper proxy mines that are visible to a careful tanker but will blow the treads off of and temporarily immobilize someone less wary. I'm hardly as unreasonable as you'd paint me out to be. However the ops statement of everyone either being a tank of proto av as if it should not be so is just completely ignoring cause and effect: if I join a dozen pub matches and eleven of them end with the other team victorious due to their four tanks circling the map and LAVs kill-taxiing everyone between OBVIOUSLY I am going to spec into something to counter that. I'm tired. Maybe I'll reply to this. |
