Some suggestions are based off of EVE modules.
Electronic Counter Measures (ECMs)
Disrupts target locking. Can disrupt swarm launcher targeting on vehicles within a certain range, with a percentage chance of it being disrupted. Depending on how far you are from the vehicle, changes the chances of the lock on to be disrupted.
Electromagnetic Burst (ECMBs)
An activated module that can disrupt targeting and signal radius/precision within its radius. It can also jam active modules like armor and shield repair systems on vehicles.
Electromagnetic Shield (ECMS)
Shields you from lower tier ECMBs.
Electromagnetic Forcefield
Deployable equipment that activates a forcefield that can provide protection from ECMs, ECMBs, and disrupt hostile's ECMS within the radius.
Electronic Signal Cloak (ESCs)
Module that can cloak dropsuits or vehicles from the radar.
Electronic Signal Cloak Disruptor (ESCDs)
Disrupts lower tier ESC's, possibly making their signal even stronger to detect on radar.
Just a few ideas I had in mind. |

Few more suggestions.
Automated Targeting Sensors
Can further help in aim assist with the 1.4 release. This only works for people within a certain radius (so that snipers won't go OP with using something like this)
Automated Targeting Dampeners
Removes the effects of lower tiered ATS and PTS.
Passive Targeting Sensors
Like the ATS, except this happens while you are aiming, instead of when you aimed. |

Agreed. Usually when I'm driving my expensive tank, and I get shot by a swarm launcher, I already know I'm screwed. There's usually almost no hope at that point, unless I can get under cover, he dies, or runs out of ammo. This would be convenient for vehicle drivers, while not being to OP. |

Only thing in the game that can lock-on is the swarm launcher and AV nades. So this wouldn't help vs Plasma cannons, FG, or proxies. This would just make more players want to spec into FG over swarms and drivers/pilots already gripe over those... then again even infantry gripe over FGs lol. I personally think the FG splash should be smaller but deal more damage. Why? So when I get in there face and burn through most of there shields with my knife, I can LOL as they blow themselves up with they FG. The only times I find myself in this situation is when the Heavy has invested more ISK in his/her suit then I have in mine. So the idea of them losing more ISK then me during a panic kill just puts a smile on my face Anyway, the idea of giving vehicles some EWAR is a good one as I believe all roles should get some. +1 to OP for sharing the idea.

Maybe have ECMs reduce charge speed as well. That can stop those other nasty weapons that harm our very expensive vehicles. |

`Sigh. Just another fun game of DUST . I use a forge gun a lot mostly since the last changes to the HMG which made it nearly useless to me given how close you have to be just to hope to hit someone. I keep wondering if there is something wrong with hit detection in the game. i have had multiple times where someone is in so close to me that they take up most of my screen and all of my targeting reticle yet when i fire i see the round hit like 5 feet behind them and they dont even die from the splash damage heck sometimes they arent even hit by the splash not sure how that ends up happening.
Yes there is definitely something wrong with hit detection, CCP states that it's the FPS, and say they are improving this in 1.4 |
