I think it would help separate them from being bad Assaults, it makes them much more versatile. Apart from scanning the area, a scout job should be a secondary unit on the battlefield, a second EQ slot would allow them to be back-up Logis with a side-arm or more tactical Assaults with way less bulky being the trade off. |

The problem with Type-2 is that without the side-arm you're just a bad Min with slightly more speed. Scouts need to retain their side-arm to get a niche from having a second EQ slot. |

The problem here becomes how much CPU and PG to give without making them a logi. Plus, entertain me here for a bit, scout is about speed, yet he can carry more equipment than an assault? In that case his speed should be reduced no? I don't hate the scout players, I think they need CPU / PG, but giving them a 2nd equipment slot might be too much imo.
The main question would be how much CPU/PG to give them of course. I actually wouldn't mind the second EQ slot being a race-only buff.
I don't see why it's speed should be reduced as a result. The Assault has way more bulk, while scouts will always be OHK'd by Core Grenades for example. The problem is that the Scout has nothing differentiate itself from the Assault. The slight movement speed is not enough to warrant using it over the Assault, everything the scout does as of now the Assault can do.
Heavy EQ slot - 0 Assault EQ slot - 1 Scout EQ slot - 2 Logi EQ slot - 3-4
I don't see the problem with this formula. Scout should have the versatility the second EQ slot brings, because they die to a light wind. They should be the glass cannons of Dust. |
