You left out you are at advanced with nano's. I change my advice to concur with getting proficiency 5 in your weapons. Frankly I can't wait to get what I consider my primary skills maxed so I can mess with a different suit. Earning SP and playing with different fits is one of the few things Dust has going for it right now which is a damn shame since the game encourages specialization yet offers so little variety in anything but equipment, suits, and weaponry. |

J/K but I would suggest putting points into nano tech I have level 3 nanocircuitry Better nanite injectors are horrible as they both take up more cpu/pg AND give you less wp potential in the long run. I always run milita or standard. There's no reason to skill past the K-2's as they cost way too much pg/cpu, and the repair ones have to heal you first before they give you ammo. By the time they've healed you, you have wasted time, died, or run out of nanite clusters to actually get ammo from them. I run standard 80% of the time, and the K-2 if I have extra room on my suit. So no, putting another 700k sp into them just to use prototype is worthless to me. ____________________ Basically, at the respec I chose two equipment to skill to proto. That turned out to be the repair tool for the core repair tool (105/s FTW), and uplinks for the ones that can drop 3 at a time, and the allotek stable (prototype uplink at advanced pg/cpu cost) Now that I think about it, I should have only skilled to level 4 repair tool (BDR-8 is amazing) and level 2 uplink (stable uplinks are where it's at), but at the time I wanted to help out as much as possible in PC so yeah... _____________________ As a last point, if the nanocircuitry skill helped make nanohives and injectors better, then I would have absolutely maxed that skill out...but all the skill does is unlock stuff... I used to think the same thing and maxed my repper out before nanocircuitry. But once I got the proto injector and triage hives, I rarely use my repper anymore. WP gains are marginally better because the triage points from hives are prorated compared to the rep tool and you don't even need to put your weapon away to rep people. |

I say specifically in my post that I can use the mk.0 That's 5 million sp into minmatar logistics, not caldari.

It's mind boggling when I read things like this. Going to take me upwards of 35mil to have everything I want *right now*. First you say that you have everything you want, THEN you say you don't want to WASTE SP on level V skills with marginal benefit. Well what are you saving those SP for? The whole point is that the skill tree is full of diminishing returns situations meaning it is easier to skill horizontally than max everything. But if you max everything then you are that much better. Light Weapon / Sidearm Operation V might be the difference between putting an advanced sidearm on instead of advanced, or M1 grenades instead of just standard Locus. It's those marginal benefits that give you that EDGE in combat, all other things being equal.
For example, Armor and Shield Upgrades V not worth it? On a Commando that is 10% to your total HP of 500 base ... almost the hitpoints from another Shield Extender. And if/when you DO max out those skills, every time you walk away from a fight with 2hp armor you can say to yourself "yep, was worth it" ... it happens nearly every other day.
As a 4-slot logi you don't want proto nanohives or injectors? And as a minmatar logi you don't want to put skills into complex kin-cats for situational runner fits?
Jeeze at least try out an assault or scout suit for some variety, or learn the art of forge gunning. There's always new stuff to play around with.

Meh. It's about one million SP per month if you skill cap every week. More if you boost, I guess. Then there's the double SP events they throw at you. It doesn't take long to start filling up boxes. I do wish the SP cap would go away, though. It's a worthless penalty that keeps people from being competitive. |

This right here is where you're just... wrong bro. When you start pushing those 'worthless' fitting skills then you can run X-3 AND advanced triage nanohives on an mk.0. You're gimping yourself. A heavy by himself can eat up a standard nanohive man. Seriously? Standard nanohive?
"have to heal you first..." ... you seriously can't see the benefit of a personal triage hive, or one that can keep repping your team even if you're dead?
You sound very combat logi oriented, so yeah, dump into proficiency V for all your weapons. Good luck. |

lol to everyone that keeps thinking I'm a combat logi.
I once scored 4382 wp just repping and keeping a heavy alive the whole match.
I regularly make around enough to get myself my own orbital...
I'd rather keep my suit alive and up for as long as possible with the cpu/pg...why put expensive equipment on a suit that can't hold it's own? |

I have Gallnte logi maxed, dropsuit core upgrades maxed (ALL skills under that tree), light weapon and MD operation...and now I'm working on vehicle core upgrades...I'll never be maxed though...because so soon as electronic warfare is more fully realised, I'll be going balls deep into that...but for now, full on proto logi with all proto gear and maxed out LLAV and LDS will appease my OCD. |

I-Shayz-I wrote:I am currently at 18.7 million sp
What I mean by this is that I won't have anything worthwhile left to put sp into. Sure, there are more levels I could throw sp into to make my weapons or dropsuits SLIGHTLY better, but I'd rather not waste millions of sp just to make my guns use up one less pg...or something.
Vehicles are not my thing, so I haven't put a single point into them. I have the watch saga anyways...
To better explain, here's what I have calculated I will have at 21 million sp
-All passives such as armor, shields, biotics, engineering, etc. at level 4 (electronics and hacking at 5) -Complex extenders and plates, as well as complex energizers and repairers -Complex damage mods, hacking mods, -1 proto dropsuit, 1 advanced dropsuit (Logistics mk.0, Commando A-1 series) -4 prototype weapons all with at least proficiency 3 (Scrambler Rifle, Mass Driver, HMG, Forge Gun) -2 prototype equipment (repair tool and drop uplink) _____________________
The idea here is that I will have 4 effective roles that I can switch to on the battlefield to help my team. I can be a long range support medic, a close quarters speed hacker, an AV specialist, or a defensive pusher.
What's your opinion? Should I have focused my skills more to become the ultimate logi instead of branching off to the heavy class? Should I start to skill into other roles to be more versatile? What about trying new weapons and equipment?
I'm just surprised that I'm this far already. i find the fact you have more sp than me but i have adv dropsuits for every race and class and four proto weapons |

I already make about 400k isk and anywhere from 2-3.5k wp per match. The only major skill I'm missing is level 5 hacking, and maybe level 4 circuitry for repair nanohives. After that, the only thing stopping me from being better is level 5 light weapon operation (for slightly more cpu) and level 5 engineering for 3 more powergrid to fit some better equipment/modules. |

Same here, ive missed about 2 months of Active SP now and i am sitting at 19m sp, though still got 4-5 Omega boosters running :p, ill be glad to finally be able to spec into a wider spec. |

I reckon you can do a lot more with a lot less.
I got under 5m SP on my alt and do better at killing cos I focused on damage mods and proficiency.
Now my idea with 2 of my accounts is to just work on biotic upgrades. Shame you need level 5 in that before you get level 5 in kinetic catalysers to finally get complex but then I guess too many nubs would go around with complex kin cats.
Pretty tired of being slow though. Know what saying "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee?" That's what I'm gonna do, move fast and hit hard.
I'm going mass driver, prof 5, 2x complex damage mods and whatever kinetic catalysers I can fit on there. |
