A for effort. F for a event we want. As a CEO and someone that has been here for over a year, I am and I know many of my dust friends are getting restless on these events, the rewards are so sub-par and uninteresting.
Do interesting things like triple the destruction reward where killing advance/proto suits/tanks/dropships results in a much larger payout at the end of the match.
Keep with the tiers idea and do kill counts based on certain items like 10 kills with remotes, 25 kills with remotes, etc. Instead of offering different items just scale the reward! every xx kills with xx you get xx amt of xx as a reward.
I realize you are most likely very limited on what types of events you can run but really the only events that get my members back are those that are based around SP rewards.
If CPM did have input in this event, I have to say I am disappointed, was the community involved at any point? this seems to be a reoccurring theme. Come up with ideas and seek feedback, vote, talk, communication please. |

The people who don't have the skills for protosuits yet will be screwed for this very reason, and I believe fights will be very one-sided since the matchmaking is still bad in this game, not to mention pretty much no segregation between high SP and low SP players outside the academy. Remember that if you don't meet the requirement for tier I rewards, you can go for tier II and get both tier I and II rewards. This means if you play 50 matches a week, an average of 7-8 matches a day and win 21 of those matches, you will get rewards from all three tiers! You don't have to be Rambo to win 21 out of 50 matches, so the goals for this event are very reasonable.
Not sure of the need to increase complexity of these events when you have no tracking. Make it simpler, no 42% here, 45% there at tier this or tier that. Is it asking too much to say just win 20 matches and get xx items, win 30 matches get xx items.
They stack, I don't have to worry about leaving a game wasting my time to try to get the magic % of win/lose or figuring out I lost too many game for tier one so I have to win xx to get tier 2 rewards thus also unlock tier 1.
