*cry* An angry thread directed at me. *sniffles* I'd like to take this moment to thank the people who have brought me here. First, my older brother, for introducing me to EVE and being a cynical jackass all through my childhood, which made me the way I am. Secondly, I'd like to thank Jason for convincing me to buy a PS3. And Trail of Terror, for giving me an opportunity to jump out at people for 7 hours a night, 4 days a week, for an entire month, in exchange for the $600 with which I bought that PS3 years ago... And Target, for selling it to me. *sniffle* Thank you all so much! |

Alright, now a real post. I have 10M SP total, and 7.7M of which is tied up in dropships. 1.6M is unspent, waiting for the pilot suit, and the rest got me into a Gunnlogi because I felt like it at the time. Zero dropsuit skills.
I am absolutely infuriated that the presence of a single railgun tank or forge gunner, if placed correctly, can negate 7.7M of my SP. A tank on the red line of Skim Junction can cover out beyond the outpost, leaving me to do one of three things: Fight on the close objective which never seems to be hot, AFK in the MCC, or die. AFK in the MCC for 500, Trebek!
I've currently got the health to take 2 shots from a well geared forge gunner or railgun HAV, and I'd like enough to take 3. This would increase my survivability to a point where my books would likely roll from red to black, and I'd be able to sustain this life of crime. Currently, I rely on alts and donations from my corp to keep myself flying, and only really play my main for PC battles.
Fixing the red line problem would be very agreeable, because currently I leave maps which have a strong red line position for a tank to sit in. Sometimes, I'll spawn on the north end of Manus Peak and go half a match having fun, and then a red line tank will take position on the south side sniper hill. From then on, it's game over. I sit in the MCC, or if it is early on in the match I will just leave.
I understand needing to pick my fights, but the range on railgun tanks and forge gunners makes me need to pick my battles as well. No player should be entirely useless in a battle because of the presence of one other player. |
