So here's the thought.
A climbing module
Figure out something fancy and sci-fi to call it... nanite gripper-ators or whatever, but its a module for scaling vertical surfaces.
Would probably make this a hi slot module, making snipers/forgers choose between it or damage mods. Would work like selecting it from equipment wheel, and entering "climbing" mode. You move at about half your run speed, but stick to any surface you are next to. It also drains stamina while moving, when you run out of stamina you have to sit still until it comes back. Higher meta modules reduce your move speed less.
This would give an alternative to dropships for reaching high spots, but also add more 3 dimension fighting. When a scout could scale a small building and drop down the other side behind the enemy. Much better than using the current death traps called ladders. |

It'd be better to just make the sniper rifle harder to use accurately unless you spec up the skills. Make it darn near unusable until then.
Therefore, sniping becomes less common and snipers also get more respect for fielding the fit. There are times when a sniper, even a redline sniper can give a better assist than just trying to pile more assaults onto a point. |

Just buff dropships so they are not vaporized with 2 shot of a militia swarm laucher and i will volounteer to cleanse the rooftops from snipers. |

I got 3 shotted by those all the time and they take no skill to use, on top of having a variant for all ranges. |

Snipers usually aren't an issue up there, counter snipe and done, the problem is usually when a heavy suit gets up there and really only on that one map with the table top in the middle. That particular scenario is what's causing the majority of grief about access issues, and there are a few easy work a rounds to that (towers on the opposite side of the map are out of forge range, but not your sniper rifle's). But I think this would not only alleviate some of the griping, but add to the interesting 3d warfare.
Plus it would just be cool. |

On those occasions I happen to snipe, I'd equip the climbing module TO GET TO HIGH SPOT TO SNIPE. Think from all the angles. |

This means that you shouldn't spend too much time up there then, right? Because the number of pilots is so low, when a player gets on a tower they just sit there the whole match until counter sniped and even then, they just spawn on the uplink they have up there and keep at it. But if someone is able to sneak up to the top and kill the sniper up close then they would have to switch suits b4 spawning or spawn somewhere else.

how about we just add a ladder to every building..or better yet and elevator or escalator..
im tired of climbing stuff with derpships to kill snipers..
other than that im just going to troll snipers.
today i killed one with a breach forge gun!..
i walked up behind this sniper
charged the forge..waited till he turned around.. and SHOT HIM IN TEH FACE AT POINT BLANK RANGE!!!!lol!!!!!!...

The one downside to ladders, aside from the pain of adding them to every single building, would be the vulnerability to snipers. easiest kills out there are when someone is climbing a ladder. Elevators could be interesting, but the ding when they get to the top would give you away time. |

That's actually true, snipers do seem to not pay attention... how ironic
When deployable shields are implemented then elevators would just screw you as when the door opens and you shoot... nothing but shield. And now you're a sitting duck for my flux and SMG power lol.
Adding ladders would just tempt me into trolling them. Place a RE at base of ladder then run away and snipe. When they get on I wait for them to get half way up then BAM! If they keep going then I kill them. If they jump off then I blow 'em up with meh RE lol.
