Militia weapons, equipment, modules and dropsuits are made cheap therefore there should be more of a ''you get what you pay for'' attitude towards em. since they are made cheaply the manufactures may have skipped a few safety and quality checks before shipping them off to the market, so there may be a few flaws in there products.
Assault Rifles and SMG have a chance to jam Forge Guns have a chance to misfire, or backfire upon the user Hives & links have a chance to just fizzle out when deployed Nades have a chance to explode in the users hand or are just duds |

So basically you want to unnecessarily increase the gap between vets and new players so vets can dominate even harder... sure, great idea.
Militia items are already inferior because of fitting costs, and often reduced magazi size on weapons, and other factors. |

only diff between militia and basic is a small fitting cost and reduced magazine size is only 12.. not bad when you compare the price difference |

More rounds instead of having to reload is often the difference between life or death, so can not having that 3rd grenade, or not having that 2nd nanohive to resupply after using up your first, or not being able to fit that damage mod you wanted because you exceeded the suit's PG/CPU by fitting militia items.
This idea will only hurt new players with low SP and low ISK, and further increase the gap between newbs and vets in favor of the vets (we're already godly powerful compare to the newbs). Nothing good will come of this. |

Absolutely not. A new player doesn't want to die instantly by simply pulling the pin of the grenade. |

This. You would need better gear because militia gear would break down every now and then, contrary to Proto gear. |

sure, but make sure new players are aware of the problems Militia gear has, so they don't think that there is some huge glitch breaking their weapons |

Its not like it would be a massive chance. 0.5% or 1% would be enough. Its time to stop holding the hands of blue berries and get them to start using the gear that is supplied to them. Get them playing the game how it's meant to be played. Most guys/gals are just throwing themselves in to battle, running straight into enemy fire. Why? Because it's like COD to them. There's little risk of losing isk, so why not? This change to militia would forced them to use more reliable gear, making the risk greater, making them use a more tactical approach to fights, making them better players.
IMO only good will come from this! |

New players have it bad enough, since academy kicks you out after couple of matches. Starting sp limits what these players can use, and we all know skills are a better use of sp than weapon unlocks. Makes no sense to further punish new players. |
