I got killed by an exo 5 MD today. Guess how far I was killed from, go on guess.
3 metres away, guess how much damage the guy that killed me took? Zip, zero, nada, 0 big fat nothing!!!!!! He had full shields and armour and killed me from 3 m away without taking any damage from his own grenade!!!!!
Seriously!!! This whole MD to your feet from 3 metres away needs to stop!!!!! |

most likely: he fired behind you, which is why he chose the EXO for it's smaller splash.. the splash therefore got you but not him because he was beyond the 4m splash behind you.
he fired so the shell exploded behind you, it's not easy to do, but it can happen at random, or it couldve been deliberate |

What we need is friendly fire to be enabled- the only thing that needs to stop (besides AR users crying to nerf everything) is people hitting their teammates in CQC more than anything else, with no consequence. |

User has to carry equipment that could render its user at a disadvantage equipment wise on the battle field. To truly be effective he must carry a nano hive and a flux grenade. For logistics people its even harder because it lacks a side arm thus its flux grenade become its side arms. 6. User has only 6 shots before a long reload. Part II of mass driver : Fall off damage Someone made a very interesting post regarding this. Topic: shotguns Yes, I know there isn't any nerf thread about them (yet) but once 1.4 rolls out we will hear it. So I will start by saying they are fine and balanced and works as intended. And they will and should take you out in 1-2 hits. It's a cqc weapon that once it's fixed not even the mass driver can touch. Thank you for reading, I know I will get trolled but most can't hold a valid argument against my points stated.

^ this, sick and tired of hatemail because I killed a guy a few meters away and didn't die. Maybe its because I was trying to shoot a distance behind you so you get hit not me and this time it worked. Funnily enough you never see someone using a MD complaining they blew themselves up because someone forced them into extreme CQC. |

gotta love the "MD IS MEANT TO ABSOLUTELY DOMINATE EVERY SINGLE OTHER WEAPON IN THE GAME AT CQC" topics.
what about the heavy? his weapon has far less range and is a definite cqc and breaching weapon. but put a good user of an HMG against virtually any user of a MD and the HMG will be a smear on the wall in 4-5 shots.
what about shotguns? they don't even register in their effective range half the time. the MD registers in 90% of scenarios. |

The haters refuse to acknowledge that you may have used skill with the MD to win an engagement, therefore your victory was due to a bug or poor mechanics.
You can't win with these people. They see what they want to see and refuse to alter their play style to counter the MD, which is fine with me as long as CCP doesn't listen to their whining. I'm tired of trying to train them to counter me. They should be able to figure it out on their own if they are really so fantastic at FPS play. |

Agreed OP, it'll be much nicer once they've nerfed MD-Shotgun. Its just Flaylock 2.0, and its only going to get worse as more people skill into it. |

I'm not complaining that I got killed by a MD, frankly I could care less about being killed by a MD.
I'm complaining about the fact that the guy was 3m away and took no damage from his shots. My guy could have reached out and tapped the guy on the forehead (if it was possible to do so in this game). |

So much this. It would be AWESOME and it may stop pubbies from running in front of you for no reason or just because they're being asshats.
I don't know how you'd stop awoxers--especially given the poor state of matchmaking--but it'd certainly let us take out aggression on AFK farmers, nubs being bad hanging out in the redline, driving their vehicles away from the battle, etc. I'd even go so far as to take away WP when killing someone through FF, but I think too much of the player base would just go elsewhere where they don't have to worry about consequences of not being situationally aware. But oh man....I imagine it'd cut down on a lot of the spammy behavior, from grenades to MDs to general spray and pray.

So increase blast radius? I use MD and I assure you it does do damage to the user. You either need to engage him within 2m or outside of 40m. Inside that is a kill zone for you.
The MD radius isn't 10m like it used to be in Chrome with a fully elected out boundless. It actually maxes around 8, I think, with the Boundless. |
