One eye views the battlefield, the other is fed tactical information.
at least on the logi suit, they explained that the eyepatch is for viewing the armor levels of teamates, detecting even micro-fractures that measure in nanometers for optimal repair work.
the assault? no idea what that one does. probably just blocks one eye out because the minmatar are just that kind of badass.
I'm caldari, but I went gallente because I already had one and wanted to see the gallente room. I have regretted that decision ever since. It's so inefficient. You people may know a thing or two about boning, but god, your designs are too damn artsy for their own good, It gets in the way. Can't wait to use my glorious caldari rail rifle. It will shine in the sun, giving off rays of gunmetal gray and regal navy blue, firing metal slugs to shred your pathetic artsy fartsy suits. |

You know how people close one eye when looking down the sight of a weapon? We'll, the Minmatar have such bad aim that they have that built into their helmets. They have such bad aiming that all their weapon either do damage even when they miss (MD, Flaylock, Locus grenade) or are meant to be hip fired (SMG & HMG). Heck, there aim is so bad... That the HMG has a mechanism that makes the gun become more accurate, to compensate for the Minmatar people's inherent lack of precision.
Though, this is good for the other races. As a marksman, that knows how to properly control both the dispersion and recoil if weapons, can devastate with these weapons. As most of there weapon designs take into account that they will miss A LOT (most) of [their] shots, if a marksman hits most of their shots, they will decimate whole squads of personnel.
The Minmatar truly waste the potential of their technology on themselves. |

We may be low-tech, but our scopes are the most high-tech. Compare the HMG sight to that of the AR, scrambler rifle, and laser rifle. ARs and LRs used to have sights like that, but they've been replaced with garbage. |

Yeah newsflash those arent eyes as shown in the eve origins video although they look like it.
The actual slit to see through is above the glowing lights, watch the eve origins video and watch the mercs helmet close, also minmatar has one eye because the patch has a small screen behind it. |

The Amarrian have the greatest spiritual connection out of any race in the empire.
As each New Eden race descended from modern man, we can speculate that these races also inherited our traits. Humans contain a pituitary gland, which can be located from the outside as residing in the middle of the forehead. An example of this is seen in Hinduism, where practicioners have tatooed a red mark to the middle of their brow (symbolically represents the "third eye").
This pituitary gland, the "third eye", is regarded as our spiritual connection to things existing outside of the physical world; this is supported by the production of DMT (Dimethyltryptamine - the spirit molecule) within the pituitary. Many people attempt to access this eye through meditation, aural frequences, and other methods (hallucinogens, etc).
I would assume that this is what the Amarrian Third Eye is. |

I would assume that this is what the Amarrian Third Eye is. Wait...isn't DMT a psychedelic drug? |
