For gods sake man, have none of you played a fps outside of dust, 2 perfect examples of aiming in a fps that work are borderlands 1/2 and bad company 2, the aiming in dust is not perfectly fine as stated in the title of this thread. I think some of you spend far to much time playing dust and have forgotten what good aiming is. |

I think your a bit wonky mate, in the brain. |

On a serious note I think anti aliasing is the culprit here. |

However, I'm using composite instead of HD, so I'm sure those who use HD may have a different experience (gameplay videos from other people look AWESOME compared to what I get). On that note, I don't see jagged-anything. Everything looks pretty smooth; just not upgraded to the "proto" level of other peoples' graphics Hit detection, IMO, is the culprit. I hate it when I land two shots on someone with my shotty, and they finish hacking that objective
You wouldn't see jaggies with anti aliasing enabled, look at bad company 2, jaggies everywhere but smooth aiming. |

Again, aiming is fine. It's a different system. Hit detection is the culprit, but if you're able to land your sights correctly on target then you should technically be receiving hit feedback.
Blame the servers, not the aiming. Killzone was designed like that. It had a weighty feeling. DUST wasn't designed the way it is atm. If you played Chromosome you'll see how aiming was, and how it is now.
Designed my ass! Killzone 2 had bad input lag. 3 not so much |
