If you don't like being hit by a sniper, stay out of my view, maybe you just don't pay attention to your sorroundings. Do you get killed by snipers while you are fighting frontline raspberries? If so, there's your problem!!!! |

Honestly the idea of having a sniper light up like a Christmas tree is the dumbest thing I ever heard, if you have an issue with a sniper, than he (or she) is probably doing their role quite well!!!! Just pick up a militia sniper and counter snipe!!!! Seriously, how hard is it to do that, everyone has a "starter sniper fit" so use it!!!!!!! |

the only effective way to hunt down the annoying sniper is by derpship...using a mass driver..
the reason why is that this is the only effective way to deal with redzone snipers...
i have seen way to many invisible snipers on my games...
i can deal with the ocassional rooftop sniper or hill sniper i can deal with the snipers.. that are out of the redzone..the sniper i cant seem to get rid of is the sniper hiding in the redzone that is in an area where no one can counter snipe..
i may have dumped a few skill points just to unlock a tactical for counter sniping..
ive gotten good at counter sniping...but what i havnt gotten good at in the area is sniping the invisible nub in the redzone......
no 1 should be able to hide from the field of view of a derpship...
and shooting a high powered rifle should give away your position...
i know plenty of ppl that could deal with something like this...
heck alot of the times when i was sniped and did see the hit marker point to where i was shot from i grabbed a sniper.... looked to where the hit marker said i was shot from... and didnt see any1...
i giant red arrow over their head or a marking of their direction on the minimap. would solve this problem. Than what's the point of profile dampners? A good sniper always has some profile dampners on their suit. |

1. Thales is is the best sniper in the game so those snipers will hurt 2. It's only available through battle salvage so whoever is using one will most likely try to conserve the number of times they will use it. This leads to my next point: 3. Due to the fact it's rare, if someone is using one they will try to prolong their clones life span so they won't lose one (this means possible redline sniping)
On another note, I won't mind it if the sniper trail stays for an extra .5 of a second |

Now hear this it's not that I want snipers to be invisible (which is kinda the premises of being a sniper) At 300 meters the vapor trails should last 1.5 seconds longer but decrease the further away you are from your target. Alas again a snipers duty is to take out problem targets but at base, adv, and proto standard level wouldn't have enough power OHK targets (Which it should). This is a good idea, the further away you are, the harder it is to spot a vapour trail, I want this or something with the tiers, like at proto level the trail is virtually un-noticeable, at adv it's noticeable but only if your looking for it, and at basic it's completely noticeable. |

1. The snipers are a rail gun. Last time I checked a magnet makes no noise when it's in use. The only noise that would come from a sniper being fired is the noise from the initial charge up.
2. If someone is camping, than how hard is it to snipe back or go out to them and kill them?
3. If it's called camping when i am, stationary whilst sniping than should I call the guy using a duvolle just floating around an objective a chicken cause he's guarding a point and not seeking combat?
It seems that you just had a rough go at it with sniping and being sniped.
I have one question for you 117, do you snipe? |

when i pick up some nova knives do i expect to die? yes.
when i pick up an assault rifle do i expect to die? yes.
when i enter a vehicle do i expect to die? yes.
when i bring out some proto gear should i expect to die? yes.
when u pick up a sniper rifle and snipe from the redzone do u expect to die? no u dont.
well i think its time to change that. You keep referring to redline sniping....have you ever gone redline hunting?
I have and it's fun, the timer counting down, spotting the sniper and scaring the jeebies out of him.
It's great fun!!!! But by the sounds of it, you haven't even tried to locate a sniper. You just keep running the same path, getting killed and then QQing about it. |
