I have a bit of an unfair advantage here, but my money's all on Amarr Heavies toting HMG's.

The lower slot count on Amarr suits makes me think otherwise. A PRO Amarr Assault has 3 High, 3 Low, and even the shield-tankin Caldari Assault also has 3 low (and the Amarr gets a "laser" bonus, no special armor bonus) (Cal-Logis have more low slots than Amarr Assaults as well). If anyone can go lop-sided with the new armor changes, it's the 5-low Gallente Logi or 4-low Amarr Sentinel.

That being said, that's supposed to be the point, right? Up until now, the high slots have been mostly more desirable for damage and shield-extender dominance. The fact an Amarr Sentinel had 4-low slots was mostly seen as less desirable than the Basic Heavy that could stack more damage mods.

If armor tanking becoming more viable becomes a "thing", then it's a net good for actually having both sets of slots be desirable/viable.

The commando is the only suit that gets an armor-plate bonus, and it only gets 1 low slot at PRO.
