FoTM Prediction Thread! Also FotM nostalgia thread!
In light of the armor changes I'm putting my money on Core Locus Grenades. Maybe a Thukker here and there.
Mass Drivers are gonna become oh so prevalent. Maybe Flaylocks will return!
Are Viziams gonna make a comeback?
Place your bets! |

In terms of suits I think Amarr mediums are going to be ridiculous. Especially logistics.
Now that they can reliably armor tank they can use those high slots to pump out damage. |

Reps are still slow, and you won't get repaired unless you're running in the pack, which not everyone does. Try going a solo heavy to know what I'm talking about. Ha, so your a "real" heavy then huh? Do you also sprint across open plains to cap objectives too? Numnutz he's saying not to do it |

Zeylon Rho wrote:The lower slot count on Amarr suits makes me think otherwise. A PRO Amarr Assault has 3 High, 3 Low, and even the shield-tankin Caldari Assault also has 3 low (and the Amarr gets a "laser" bonus, no special armor bonus) (Cal-Logis have more low slots than Amarr Assaults as well). If anyone can go lop-sided with the new armor changes, it's the 5-low Gallente Logi or 4-low Amarr Sentinel.
That being said, that's supposed to be the point, right? Up until now, the high slots have been mostly more desirable for damage and shield-extender dominance. The fact an Amarr Sentinel had 4-low slots was mostly seen as less desirable than the Basic Heavy that could stack more damage mods.
If armor tanking becoming more viable becomes a "thing", then it's a net good for actually having both sets of slots be desirable/viable.
The commando is the only suit that gets an armor-plate bonus, and it only gets 1 low slot at PRO. I suppose they won't be gripe-worthy FoTM, but I think now that Amarr Logistics have an extra low, combiined with buffed armor plates and their rep bonus they're going to be the suit of choice. Remember that they're regenerating 20 hp/s all the time with two complex reps. They'll also probably run with explosive weapons on their belt.
And no equipment

Actually, good for them. Now they might step up instead of cry moar.
Good heavies are going to be scary as all hell. |
