We all know for a fact that CCP has plans to incorporate an Eve-style free-market system into Dust during the next 5 years as part of their long-term road map.
But I'm curious to know how many of you guys are comfortable with this concept? Are you ok with seeing players have full control of the future in-game economy and its future industry where players dictate the prices of minerals and items that other players buy and where monopolies and scams are encouraged by CCP?
How many of you would rage quit after realizing that you overpaid so much ISK to a player for an item that turned out to be cheap?
How many of you would rage quit if you fell victim to an in-game ponzi scheme while CCP tells you to HTFU?
How many of you would cry foul if Goonfeet were to burn the economy while CCP sits idly by saying "F-CKING BRILLIANT"? |

Canari Elphus wrote:There needs to be many things before full integration is possible
1 - Player to player trading 2 - Some sort of harvesting or item creation to happen DUST side 3 - DUST to be able to create its own full economy first
For full integration to work, DUST needs to have equal footing with EVE in terms of market power. Mercs cannot simply be buyers or it will fail miserably. How that will happen is anyones guess.
That's not the point of this thread.
This thread is asking how many of us here would get extremely intimidated by this concept and rage at the first sign of foul play in the market?
CCP already knows what to do in regards to incorporating the economy of two games. That's why it's a 5-year plan. |

Um. You will be exposed to that. If you go onto Eve right now, the only NPC items you will find are civilian modules which are so weak they are not worth anything beyond tutorial missions. Every ship, module, ammo, mineral, etc. is built, bought, and sold by the players. That's going to happen here in Dust in the next 5 years. |

Send me 100 million ISK and I will double it back to you.

Thankfully I'm an Eve Online marketeer and I look forward to the player-run market system. |
