You should the the Prometheus, the closest metaphor I have to how it handles with plates on is "like a brick in wet cement", it's terrible, the only reason I even consider using using it is because vyzion eyri gave me a fit for it with some simply insane tanking, apart from that its handling is simply horrific.
Edit: also the ADS handle so much better compared to everything else, they give you the feeling that you can pull off advanced manauvers, and breach forge guns and assault forge guns are your worst enemy, they're the OHK's and the THK's you have to watch out for respectively. |

I know they're not the best fits in the world but the Gorgon was able to eat 2 shots from a proto forge earlier today and lived to fly away, survive landing on a few attentive targets and have enough agility to get out of dodge when it got annoying enough and forgiving enough that if I accidentally slam into something I survive it usually. I can go from full speed to stop over most sockets. Dime turn, dance the pole, reacts fast enough to dodge most building and obstacles, round corners pretty fast.
The Grimaces flies like a literal brick, dies pretty quickly to enemy fire, doesn't respond too well to controls to the point that nicking any environmental hazard is a death sentence and they are racking up far more kills than the RDVs where with the Gorgon. It feels like a whale sometimes when it comes to agility, attempting to go from full to stop almost requires me to do a 180 and start thrusting against the momentum as its much faster than using the nose up and counter thrust method.
I won't talk about the shield dropships :( Apart from wanting to slap you for fitting a MCRU to a dropship (I loathe MCRU's in my dropships with a passion, bluedots can't be trusted in the turrets and they just sit in the passenger slots being useless) there's nothing wrong with the fit you posted. Seems to prioritise reengagement time while providing enough tank to take a couple of hits, depending on how you use it not the best fit in the world but far from the worst either.
Edit: actually I take that back, for an insertion dropship that's a pretty nice fit, personally I might have replaced the recharger with a shield amp or an extender if possible but otherwise it's pretty good, might be worth trying out. |

"LEARN TO FLY YA NOOB BEFORE TELLING OTHERS THAT"- ladwar Dude let it go already, it's by far one of the dumbest posts this forums ever seen, and without a doubt the dumbest one ever to have a CPM tag attached, but let it go, it's a stupid stigma that only gets in the way of good discussion. |
