So there is a growing sentiment that the logi regen bonus is unfair, giving +5 HP/s to armor and that it is acting like a free lowslot. I think for argument's sake, the latter part of that statement is true.
What should be noted though is that the assault regen bonus gives +5 HP/s to assaults as well (before adding a module) with racial assault lvl V. With an energizer, that bonus can come out to more than +8.5 HP/S.
If the logi regen was taken away from logis altogether, it would greatly impact it's effectiveness. Its a 'slower' bonus in its effect, as it applies to the lower layer of HP, and when the obligatory shield mod is equipped it is greatly outshined. Taking this regen away from logis, especially armor tanking ones, means sacrificing a lowslot (eHP and fitting CPU/PG).
If this were taken away you would have to give logis SOMETHING back, because taking away a free bonus, removing a requirement of logistics dropsuits (regenerated armor), will just mean they have to equip a new slot to fulfill that function. Which means you are effectively taking two slots from them, their free slot and an old low slot.
The logi +5 HP/s on armor is not as good as the assaults more than +5 HP/s on shields. But if you must nerf it, think about moving it to a base stat on Amarr/Gallente logistics, (+5 HP/s) while Caldari/Minmatar gets +1/+2 respectively. The Amarr logi already starts at -3 HP/s less on shield regen vs. the 20 HP/s of other average medium suits while the Gallente shield regen is -5 HP/s.
Currently with no mods and max skills for combined regen base stats:
31.25 HP/s: Assault ck.0 25 HP/s: Logistics ck.0/mk.0, Assault ak.0/gk.0 23.5 HP/s: Assault mk.0 22 HP/s: Logistics ak.0 20 HP/s: Logistics gk.0
Take away the native regen from armor tankers and you royally screw their survivability. |

Your logi you should have that advantage.Its a engineer class how is that unfair.I know you are trying to help but assaults cant have everything, there will be no point to support class that has no survivability . Nothing is wrong with it shields are better then Armour at this point. |

This is an unnecessary change, and seems like a nerf targeted toward shield or dual tankers. Caldari already lost their racial bonus and had their CPU nerfed - you think we need 1 HP/sec nerf now, too? Don't touch the inherent armor repair unless CCP implements the common-sense strategy of turning my repair tool to point at myself. |

I agree they shouldn't be nerfed, I'm just preempting calls for nerfing them by showing how behind they already are. |
