Slow-moving heavies with slow-moving logistics players sticking with them? Flux + MD, free double kill. Therefore, CCP has simply indirectly restated their preference for shields. Armour supporters have been checkmated. Your move, community. - Oh how I love inciting revolutionary zeal. Perhaps but we'll be able to weather some of the Damage your explosive weapons throw at us instead of OHK that are utterly ridiculous. |

That's 99 pg without any nades or equips...Yeah...you'd need all core skills maxxed out, couldn't run much for nades, and no equips. I have 102 pg. with all core skills decked out.
/thread and the move speed penalty for that stacking included would still bring you down to 4.09 move speed....which is slow as ****. Funny, because I can fit it on my logi right now. 1 Complex repper. 4x Complex plates. 1x Complex shield extender 1x Complex damage mod 1x Enhanced damage mod 1x GEK (I don't use duvolles, I see them as pointless since the performance boost is very minor) 1x M1 Locus Grenade 1x Ishukone hive Not necessarily OP, just having the EHP we should have had for a long time. Personally I believe Logi's should lose Low and High slots have have specialised Medium Slots which support the utility type modules which would make them less focused on stacking EHP boosters and more on their role as squad support and specialised operations.
E.G- Gallogi 2 High Slots, 3 Low Slots, 2 Medium Slots, 4 Equipment slots. |

Is +3 equipment, which turns you into 4 assaults equipment wise not worth it alone? I don't see the need for you to have an extra high and low slot. You are NOT supposed to be competitive in a fire fight. You can add damage to a firefight, but assaults are supposed to have the advantage. I'm not asking for the removal of light weapons, I'm asking for you to have the same high/low slot configuration as assaults. Only Logi assaults need it, not support logis. A logi suit is nothing but a medium suit with different rolled stats. There are no assault logis nor are there support logis, we're all ****ing logis, get that through you head. Also, it's a goddamned FPS. The day New Eden has a Geneva Convention, is the day logis can stop carrying weapons. Stop looking for free kills.
I would see CCP change the logi suit by removing high and low slots and replacing the lost slots with medium slots which cover modules that give bonuses to support items, equipment items, EWAR, etc. Then Logis lose their massive buffers, can keep their PRO weapons, and be used for the role they were intended. |

If you can't work something out with that crazy shield regen bonus and the ability to use a sidearm, something's wrong. Bigger buffer Gëá better. Assaults who can aim rarely use their sidearm. Gallente have no use for this shield regen. Try again. I beg to differ, I can aim just fine and I end up using my sidearm quite often. Everyone always talks about using Logi suits for an Assault role, but I just have to laugh at that. No self-respecting Assault player would run without a sidearm (and the Amarr Logi is the only one that gets a sidearm IIRC). I love it when I'm battling a Cal-logi and we both exhaust our clip at the same time. I immediately switch to my SMG to finish them off. What are they doing? Oh yeah, they are strafing and jumping around like an idiot and NOT shooting me because they have no sidearm and have to reload. And now they are dead In the past, this was also the time at which a Cal-logi may throw a panic fused locus grenade at my feet, but now that those things have been nerfed into oblivion, that's not even an option. Being an Assault player is about having firepower. If you need ridiculous amounts of HP to play the Assault role and you are willing to give up your sidearm for it, you are doing something wrong. Hit the nail on the head. I can't count how many fights I've lost because I was stuck reloading while an assault either pelted me with an SMG or unloaded with a SP. And before anyone brings up Amarr logis, they're supposed to be a logi/assault hybrid.
Same of Logi you don't need tons of EHP to play logi you should be slightly behind the assaults who should be slightly behind the heavies. All a Logi needs to do is stay alive and behind their front liners so they can rep, rez, and restock ammo, as well as be designated hackers etc. |

Serious question: What's your obsession with telling others what to do? You're like the ultimate backseat gamer.
I'm not telling people what to do im explaining the intended role of the Logi class. Turning it into another class is not the intention of I Dev's. Point being you can have a logi ship in EVE but you cant turn it into a fit better suited for combat than a combat oriented ship.

What works in EVE isn't going to necessarily work in Dust. Dust is a FPS- we all have guns. Assaults, scouts, and heavies have more, logis have less. Isn't that more than enough to show that logis aren't better assaults? Maybe you should add value to that sidearm instead of telling a logi where to stand and what to carry. Then all suits must have equally balanced EHP values to make all classes equal to one another with different slot lay out of the logi suit should be geared to allow it to better support the team with a variety of utility modules which replaces its capacity to exploit EHP modules. |
