Back in the old time, we were pumping quarters into arcade games.
I didn't mind back then to spend some (if not all) of my allowance into them for my enjoyment.
In the '80, 10$ was a lot of dough for a child! Still, I had no issues about spending that cash into short and hard video games.
Over time, interest into video games grew tremendously, but the mentality changed; Now, players want to have it all and free.
Up to now, I was reluctant at spending Aurums on expandable items (being a cheapass). But then I looked back at all the money I spent in the games I loved and compared the playtime and level of enjoyment I got from them respectively. I found out that Aurums gives out a better bang for the buck than the quarters system of yore.
Seing things from that perspective made a breach into my thick skull and the idea of using Aurums on expandable stuff made its way throught... |

Are you saying you would pay CCP more if they made an arcade version of Dust? Insert 25-ó and play another round. |

No , he realized he spent more in quarters for short entertainment than by putting a few into this game he can continually pick up.. or something like that I think |

An interesting thought. Although, the arcade machine would have to be hooked to the internet and need headset. Would also be more like $5.00 per match |

that's kind of how we play eve. we're pirates so it's all about getting a 'free life' (back in the day, for all you young-uns if you did well enough at a game, you got a free play). so if your fit is 20 mil, all you need to do is take 20 mil in loot and you get a free life. |

LOL.. I remember this one awesome looking racing arcade that was set up like a car, driver seat, steering wheel , clutch , brake gas , shifter. was 5 bucks to play it.
I put my 5 in it, chose my car, got on the track .. was reving up the car.. like hell yehhh!! this gonna be fun.
Race starts, I get to my 2nd turn fly off road crash and blow up my car.. insert more money to continue , wut da fuq
I never looked at that thing again, as many others I think because it didn't stay for very long |

I hear what you're saying but I'm still cheap as hell.
Besides I'd rather not buy anything until this game finds its way to a stable place. |

Yep, but your original copy won't offer you new gameplay. Ever.

I'm kind of cheap too. But as time goes by, I've learned to put my time and bucks where my true and long-lasting interests are. |

Exactly. Evolution of the game is essential. Glad to be part of the changing world of online games. In the beforetime, you played a game over and over. Dust514 is never-ending, always in flux -- and that's a good thing |
