Does anybody know what 1 AUR is worth in ISK?
I know CCP would never allow a player to buy AUR with isk, but I was just curious to see how much more the AUR was worth. If they did allow it, they could charge all the noobs big bucks and drain their piggy banks! Items with a real monetary value should be worth more then in game currency. AUR items on market don't add up -vs- simullar isk variants. |

its hard to compare between dropsuit modules and dropsuits or vehicles and even tiers of items for that matter.
I think as far as dropsuit modules with have the lowest conversion rate, its between 50-200 isk/ AUR. I think it's significantly higher for dropsuits and vehicles. |

yeh, eve aurum is worth a good chunk. One day I BANKED off that stuff because some idiot didn't know what they were worth in some far off system. I bought like 8 5k aurum token things for CHEAP CHEAP , threw it in a frigate and hauled ass to jita
makes me wonder how this economy merge will ever really work lol. I have faith they can pull it off somehow one day, but I bet the result would have a ton of pissed off players at first |

I'm not on at the moment but I'd imagine you could get a reasonable idea of the current Dust aur <> isk coversion rate by comparing the aur cost of an item with the isk cost of the equivalent item the tier above. |

You can either pay $15 for one month of subscription or buy a PLEX with ISK and pay for one month like that. But CCP isn't losing money, because someone else had to pay $15 for the PLEX.
In Dust, you should be able to buy AUR from others with ISK. Those players bought the AUR, and that AUR is simply trading hands. CCP never loses money because someone always has to buy AUR, otherwise there'd be no AUR to purchase with ISK. |

Probably an increased tax rate which will fall over time as inflation stabilizes. |

one plex is 540 million isk.
40,000 aur is 20 dollars.
one plex is currently 20 dollars also.
at best price you can get that down to 15 dollars or so.
that puts an aur at 13,500 isk bare minimum.
that puts an aur proto suit at 2 mil plus. |

Just thought i'd mention..
You can't really compare aur items to their equivalents isk and get a rate.
Remember you are not buying aur items to save isk, you are buying aur items to access them earlier, so then it is up to the players to come to a median number on what that early skill boost is worth.
I know some people do buy a few aur guns every now and then to compensate isk costs , but that does not go for all the other items in most cases. And a 300 aur tank is worth alot more than 200 isk/aur.. that comes out to like a 60k tank.. with guns on it |

That's how it's suppose to be in a free-market system. Someone out there in Eve is pissed off every 10 seconds because they got scammed. It's part of life in New Eden. |

It can work. Just look at the PLEX market in Eve. It's a shining example of how both players and CCP can benefit from this. |

So that would mean 20,000 aur would be worth "around" 140 mill? Whose buying AUR?

I don't think there's a good conversion.
You can buy sp boosters and blueprints with aur which you can't get with isk. Sp boosters save time, and time is money so it makes sense. Blueprints are a one time purchase so there's some sense in that.
Buying items with aur that you can get an equivalent item with isk though makes no sense to me. That's real money for an item you can lose because some **** doesn't know how to pilot a dropship or a server boots you. |

Nobody knows what actual AUR items will sell for.
But the simplest way to break it down is by what aur items cost vs theism items(thought that varies greatly)
A 100 aur suit can cost 50,000 isk. |

This game and all its item prices / Aur prices are so far some balanced it gives me shivers when I think about a open economy with trading.
50k isk / 100 Aur ( dropsuit )
77k isk / 50 Aur ( weapon )
3k isk / 40 Aur ( complex item )
I dont know what vehicles look like, but im betting its just as messed up..
This is so sloppy I dont think they plan on a dust economy with AUR anytime soon. |

Best ISK per AUR value in the game is the dropships... someone figured this out months ago.
200 AUR = 112,500 ISK for one of the STD dropships.
... or 562 ISK per AUR.
MAX.
Fewer ISK per AUR for other items, but then you also have to consider things like boosters and BPOs that have no ISK equivalent giving AUR a greater value in the overall economy.
Probably something between 600-1000 ISK / AUR is thus a realistic conversion rate if considering some sort of trade with another player. |
